Good people of Nairaland.....

you all have been so so WOnderful from the wonderful and caring way u all take your time to put us through this journey.......

please I have a question to ask
......

I have a friend who's interested in studying Outside....

please can you suggest a country that requires only Bank statement of Account as a proof of self substitence.......please that block account kinda package is not visible to him for now....

please I would need your candid opinions....

and countries that are immigration friendly so he can settle and start life after studies

Tell your friend to apply to France. France just started or has a new system of encouraging non european nationals to come study in their country just like Germany. They accept submission of bank statement as proof of fund. There are no tuition free schools but their govt has reduced the tuition fee ONLY for public universities.

"Starting from the 2019 school year, non-European nationals enrolling for the first time in a university program in France will be required to pay tuitions fees : 2 770€ for Licence (undergraduate) programs and 3 770€ for Masters programs. In order to know whether or not this applies to you, please check with your local Campus France agency and the school in which you wish to study". https://pastel.diplomatie.gouv.fr/etudesenfrance/dyn/public/authentification/login.html?codeLangue=EN

DrND:
Good morning my good people.

Congrats to those that have gotten their AM.

Is there anyone with interview date, 18th or 20th February still awaiting AM?

I am still waiting for mine but hopeful it will come this week.

Has anyone ever done a preparatory course before an undergraduate Program? I can't seem to apply directly for a Bsc programme without going for a preparatory courses first.

You would have to apply to a studienkollege, that’s a 1 year training before you can begin, your 100 level transcript would be translated to English. I’m guessing you don’t know german? It’s a German taught course under their ISE program (Internationa students in engineering) they would admit you but you’d have to learn german till b2 level before you can fully enroll in your studies. I don’t really know much about the undergraduate programs but here’s the website where you can do your research. Just have all your documents, eg CV, O level, Tofel or IELTS , motivation letter, translated 100 level certificates. You might have to get ASP certificate since you are coming from China but I doubt it would apply to you since you are a Nigerian and you only went there to school. Here is their website you’d see all the information. Good luck
http://uni-due(dot)de replace (dot) with “.”

Since it's both English and German thought, can i just learn German up to b2 before the winter semester,
And how is admission in Rhine-Waal university

With the embassy booking system,I think your passport number and valid email is key to book appointment.
My advice sha get the admission letter first (my opinion)

I will be glad if you enlightening me more, even I checked the date for appointment, no date in May, it is possible to book appointment with acknowledgement of Application?.
This is the mail I received from Universitat Hamburg:

It is clearly stated that u can use this to apply for a student application visa...the thing is in our country, the embassy doesn't issue dat kind of visa...so u must wait until u get an admission letter before u can apply for a visa interview. For normal student visa

I presume you mean studienkollege, if so kindly look elsewhere. If you already have your first year results and waec, look for bsc courses of interest or something related and kindly apply as soon as possible. There are several courses for bsc study, so you will definitely get some if you put in efforts. So get back to work again.

Please I will suggest people go through previous pages first.
Some questions some people ask here have already been answered in the past.
And please, if you wanna search for schools that offer your course of interest, Google is your best bet, you can also search too in daad website.

If we read through previous pages and use Google in most cases, some questions won't be appearing here repeatedly because you can easily get them from previous pages

How many copies of the required documents should be sent to FAU after certification.
You'll print 2 copies of the Application form and sign.

But only 1 set of certified documents should accompany it

Numerus clausus.( Admission Restriction)
Meaning they jex need a certain number of people for admission, so they usually rank applicants by their grade and maybe other parameters too, after which they pick the number they want starting from the best.

NYSC certificate is not compulsory. I didn't go with mine.

Hello Gurus. Thank you guys for all you do here. I have been a silent reader here for about 2 years now and I can say I'm finally ready to give Deutschland a go. I am a recent graduate that is due to go for Nysc by june/July this year but I also intend to process the application, I plan on leaving if the opportunity presents itself and everything falls thru. My question is will the absence of nysc certificate among my certs cause any trouble. Is the nysc certificate compulsory at the embassy for MSc applications. Please respond. Thank you.
