OGHENAOGIE:
why should they take over...is dee no parliament...d military involvement is a mockery of the whole process...
No Sir.

It isn't a mockery.

The present president of Sudan is being removed by the army, their parliament cannot do so.

The army has taken over n would announce a new leader, likely a caretaker who the whole nation accepts

Remember when Mugabe stepped down and Zimbabweans were jubilant and the world congratulated them?

Mugabe was replaced by Mnangagwa, he is probably worse than Mugabe.

Same happened in Libya, Egypt, Yemen. Same is happening in Sudan. Power just changed hands. The system remains.
The military, who were Al-Bashir's allies for decades, are already setting up a transition government.

Obviously, one of their own will head that government. They will oust their opponents and fill in the system with their own people.

There won't be a "voice of the people."

When it comes to politics, I am first a pessimist before an optimist.

First, what are the origins of these popular protests that excites us ordinary people? Who bank-rolls them?

Once you understand the shadow politicking behind mass protests, they'd stop exciting you.

The protest in Tunisia, in my opinion, is the only true unadulterated mass uprising in Africa in recent times.

The rest are just poorly copied shams. They are mostly climaxed by an army general taking over to head a transitional government and whatnot.

Same old playbook.

For what it is worth, congratulations to people of Sudan. I am trying so hard to be excited that Al-Bashir is gone.

I hope your own case is different. That it turns out to be a true revolution that is sustained.

Sudan President Omar al-Bashir was removed by the military, Omar al-Bashir has been Sudan's President since 1989,he was removed by the military. but the protest was started by a Woman- Ala’a Salah. This cannot happen in the current Nigeria, because the ladies prefer to be slay Queens, Youths prefer to be Yahoo Boys and the Govt is ready to open fire in a peaceful protest.

Abdelaziz Bouteflika of Algeria and Omar al-Bashir of Sudan are gone, both were forced to resign by protesting youths. The destiny of any nation lies in the youths, the same cannot be said of Nigeria. The youths of this country have lost it.

The only Two Field Marshals that have been Presidents in Africa;
Idi Amin Dada (RIP)

Everybody get their own system, some Europeans create their constitution so that they can remain in power for as long as possible. It's a human behaviour to have extreme thirst for power, it's not an African behaviour

Please stop embarrassing your education. GDP per capita is GDP/population. The country has a small population and large oil reserves hence their high GDP/capita.

It does not mean that they are rich if the money is not being distributed. Their GDP/capita is higher than that of the UK does it mean they are richer than the UK?

Since Googling is hard for you, I have done your job for you and found this link from the UK Guardian.

Read it and assimilate before you embarrass yourself further.

""GDP per capita is GDP/population. The country has a small population and large oil reserves hence their high GDP/capita""

Quite daft.

Stop embarrassing ur self. Doesn't Nigeria have extremely large oil reserves? Far larger than equatorial guinea? Let kenremind u that their landmass is 3% of Nigeria's land mass.

Yes they have a small population but they are very productive, unlike Nigeria who are 200 million n yet completely unproductive. Now let me let u in that only around 60 or 65 percent of equatorial guineas revenue is crude oil, they have other sources of income n they are using them all, unlike ur broke Nigeria that sell only crude oil..

Go check their minimum wage, it is around 75k.

Nigeria is the worse country in Africa
