some time ago in morocco a woman who had been raped was about to be forced to marry the rapist as per arab tradition on whatever. the family was trying to avoid the shame

she kicked against it and it was a big case. i dont know what eventually happened but i dont think a 16 year old getting married should really be encouraged, whether she was raped or not

People will argue that it is an Old Testament commandment bla bla bla..

But why do Christians shun this particular Old Testament commandment that supports a rapist marrying his victim but applaud and encourage tithes and first fruits which is also an Old Testament commandment

Christians only cherry pick the commandments in Old Testament that suits the appetite of their pastors.

If Old Testament is outdated and law of Moses is no longer valid in Christianity, then pastors must stop collecting tithes and first fruits as well

Religion in its entirety is total BS. Some people no longer think logically because of this.

Tithing is supported by Jesus Christ himself. Refer to Matt 23: 23 of the Bible. There is no cherry picking here.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

in other words... Jesus was telling the Pharisees and scribes that while they ought to pay their tithe, (which isn't just limited to their income alone but to other possessions of theirs even those as insignificant as spices such as mint and cummin) they also ought to take into consideration more important matters of Law such as judgement, mercy and faith... In other words, there is no cherry picking. You ought not to leave one undone at the expense of the other. You ought to do both. GRACIAS...
