Yet he could beat not only one of the highly trained veteran monks at the monastery, but he ran through most of them like a hot knife though butter. He didn't even turn off their black eyes when he did it. So what if he went all black eyes himself, extra strength does not make up for lack of skill, especially when facing equal strength. Overall it was poor writing.

One thing we all need to understand is that since pilgrim can't create dark gift for the main time he need those sleepers, reason why he was able to defeat the master so as to wake them up. If the master defeat pilgrim or pilgrim fails to succeed at the master place the movie won't be interesting anymore, as pilgrim won't have followers or Soldiers to fight in the main battle. Is as simple as that. AMC (script writter is not a fool) think beyond the actions

Go back to season 2 u will understand how mk power keeps increasing.

I understand they have to make Pilgrim look like a threat but there’s no way he shoulda handled the master so quickly.MK literally said “The Master is the strongest people I’ve ever seen” and then she gets beat before the opening credits smh. Even the one hand guy will put up a better showing.

The only reason why mk is on pilgrim side is bcuz of Sunny, u can still see he was remorse while listening to the master. I still want him to fight Sunny though with both of them using the dark gift

Exactly what i am thinking, to me mk seems to be the only 1 that match Sunny and Widow looking at how he's getting stronger with his power. Aside from Widow and Sunny with bajie who have their power lockedand can fight that way. Mk will be just like them without power

I don't wanna see Sunny with the dark gift, there would be no joy watching him fight in cheat mode. We just wanna see a normal Sunny holding his ground against those with the dark gift and also occasionally getting his ass kicked

Sunny with the dark gift will be like cheat mode, the joy in watching him fight would no longer be there

Sunny in the ending part of season one when m k was about to kill Quinn son, sunny came and stop him in which MK in his dark mode power landed a heavy punch on Sunny and he goes up high then Land's inside a bar/restaurant still sunny was able to get up like nothing happened, only for him to see the Monk's switching M K dark power off, well if you have watched the season one then you should know what happened between Sunny and those Monk's.

Also, sunny never landed in a bar, rather he slid on the ground after that because MK never intended to kill him rather MK just pushed/shoved him out of the way as shown in the second screenshot.

Finally, it was the monks that came put MK to sleep then gave sunny some punches while in dark mode sending sunny straight through the walls thereby knocking him out as shown in the last screenshot.

So, provide a screenshot of MK giving sunny a blow/punch while in dark mode in the last episode of season one and sunny getting up like it was nothing lets see. If not, The Master is the only one till date that stopped an MK dark mode punch while in normal state.

The abbotts literally train all day and 4 of them get bested by MK at once, who almost never trains from the shows. The show has also done nothing to show why MK is suddenly so powerful. How did he easily beat Pilgrims girl minion with the gift when she defended Sunny? She was fighting all of the time for Pilgrim.

For the last episode, I think the best story line they should have follow is to make master have a little upper hand against pilgrim, and during the fight, pilgrim kick something that is important and when the master turn to stop the thing from falling down, pilgrim switch off her dark mode. Then pilgrim was able to beat her blue black.

But I wonder how a pilgrim that can't beat master in normal mode, and have a non natural power was able to beat master with a natural power.

Ahbeg I don tire for this Pilgrim and The Master arguments. My own be say I love the master and I hate Pilgrim.

The writers need to be brought out in the market square and flogged brutally.

my bro, she wasn't trying to gauge any strength nor weakness. Immediately Pilgrim stripped her of her dark gift, she was so shocked to the point that she actually lost her fighting coordination & she couldn't think clearly if not, her sole objective at that point in time should have been to destabilize Pilgrims darkness too, so that they can remain equals.

Dude, that drove me crazy as well. The Master can stop 30 arrows in mid-air and kill the 30 men who fired them with hardly any effort, then she folded like a cheap table against Pilgrim. I almost cried watching the master bleeding wtf.
