Current state of team is not the same thing as being the “bigger club”. When you want to rate how big a club is, a lot of things come into discussion. Current state of the team is the least of the consideration.

How Dundee United Became A Slang For Fools


It was in the 1970’s when Dundee United decides to visit Nigeria for their pre-season tour.
However they lost all their matches to local clubs in Nigeria (including 4:1 loss to Stationary Stores) among others.

This was at a time when Nigeria football was still growing, having never won the Nations Cup or even qualified for the World Cup.

This made Nigerians look at the Dundee Football a Club as fools, having come from Europe, play the champions league and have top players but still can’t manage a win among Local clubs with little or no facilities.

Ever since then, anybody that does something weird or unbelievable is regarded as a Dundee or Dundee United.

Pogba is better, attacking wise, than all their midfielders. I will say their CMs are very hardworking and fast but in terms of creating and scoring, bang average.

With a faster Matic, we'd have a better midfield than theirs.

It doesn't mean we're better than them. But it's obvious very little in terms of attack comes from their midfield

Tbh. The difference between this Liverpool team and ours is that Liverpool's players are ready to run tbe length of the pitch and put in shifts for the badge.

Our own players dey always like "wetin concern me". Very terrible attitude.

Asides buying new players, the mentality and orientation of this team needs to change

During the last season of Fergie, most of our players were average, yet we won the league. It is in the attacking position, you need world class player that can turn things around.

I will love to see an academy player as our right player, as I can't see man utd getting any top right back then potential which might flop at the end of the day.

You're right, just like Liverpool attack, though in this case you need an exceptional attack. We had RVP then unlike what we've in CF now.
