All are politically motivated murder. So why were the killers of Abiola and his wife protected?

A coup is different. The killers announced on radio that they killed a prime minister, and the premiers

Did Ibb tell you he killed Abiola on TV? Abiola died in July 1998 over 4yrs after IBB left power

Instead of slide tackling your elders in their sleep maybe you should learn some history from them

This bridge was commissioned by the then Prime Minister late Alhaji Tafawa Balewa and opened for traffic in December 1965... barely 15 days after, The same Balewa was assassinated by the people he commissioned the bridge for.

Two years later, the same people destroyed what was built for them.
igbos didt kill balewa u morran. Nzeogwu did.

Plus balewa built the bridge from his personal wallet, didt he ? And only igbos use the bridge,no be so ?

But you Yorubas use to maintain that there is no Igbo in Niger Delta. Nzeogwu have become Igbo today because we are talking about his coup.

Stop being hypocritical. If it were Igbo man was the Head of state when Abiola was killed, you would still be calling Igbos like you are doing in the case of Balewa.

Abiola won the 1993 Presidential election and was jailed and subsequently killed by northerners but you have never blamed anyone because you are scared of the north.

Let us discuss why the killers of Abiola and his wife were protected even till now. It is a shame that yorubas of which i am one can swallow anything thrown at them by the northerners

Care to show me links to prove that Ndigbo voted in a plebiscite for Nzeogwu and his gang to go and murder anyone?

A few military men from different ethnic groups did it.They were a few military men not the civilian populace. when Abacha and his group looted Nigeria dry no one mentioned the entire Hausa/Fulani . when OBJ golp 16billion dollars via NEPA and killed everyone in Udi no one mentioned the entire yoruba race.when Dimka killed Murtala heaven did not brake loose ,when Abacha locked up MKO and when he died in prison no one mentioned the entire Abacha family but when Nzeogu spearheaded the coup in 1966 without consulting the igbos (even though his people in Delta state still deny that they are igbos)the entire country descended on the innocent igbo population. why do you people behave this way, must you judge like cavemen? The massacre of the igbos after the 1966 coup caused the civil war.
To add to that, when the most holy angel buhari toppled a democratically elected government of shagari no one termed it an offence on entire Fulani tribe. Nigeria has this strong resentment towards the Igbo race and until such is reversed Nigeria may never know redemption.

I didn't mention anyone. I said northerners because they were the ones in charge when Abiola was killed.

The question is, why are the yorubas not demanding for the prosecution of Abiola killers. Why are his killers being protected till now

The counter coup was 6 months later, 6 months is more than enough to deliver swift justice to the coup plotters like was done for other plotters like orkar Dimka who were executed 3 months after their coups
The chaos the 1966 coup caused made it hard for a well constituted court martial to begin,in fact Ironsi was going about the regions trying to calm nerves before he was assassinated in Ibadan.
