A teenage couple in Sokoto State is set to wed after dropping their pre-wedding photos, which has since gone viral over the internet.

The 17-year-old boy identified as Aliyu and his 15-year-old fiancée, Aisha, according to reports are getting married next week.

Reports have it that Aliyu is following his family tradition of marrying early as male children in his family marry at the age of 17, while the female ones marry at 15.However, in extreme cases, they marry at the age of 19.

The tradition was allegedly embraced to prevent them from fornicating and also to allow them see their grandchildren.

They would tell you early marriage is better than prostitution as if their married poor couples(females) don't sleep with alhajis to garner money to fend for the family.

They will use it as a yard stick to prove a nonsense and baseless point. What happened to them waiting and keeping themselves till they are all grown? Get career and be useful to the society?
