Mine: When I was 9, Momsy got visitors: I returned from playground and met them eating. Mom was giving me the eye signal to leave the parlour, but ignored... instead of leaving, I started crying of hunger. The cry was so serious one of the visitor had to gave me her food, but my mom insisted it wasn't long I finished eating they shouldn't mind me. I took my cry outside and when they left... my mom called me inside, I knew I was in a deep shit- I thought she was going to beat the hell out of me... instead she did something I never imagined.

This woman went into kitchen and made Eba the size of Mount Everest, I thought the entire village were coming to feast. She brought the Eba and the whole pot of soup and drop it on my feet, sad my azz down then she said... "I think hungry wan kill you? I think I never feed you since morning? you see this food? if you wan make I kill you... remain even small"
Then she locked the door and opened windows for ventilation, omo that was how I started eating till eba no longer goes down my throat. I eat food till I no fit breath again, I ate food till I saw Jesus seated in the right hand of God...

I can't forget that shît till eternity.

Taking all my novels away. I love to read. I would have preferred a beating, it hurts but does not last and I could focus on what I loved doing.

i don't remember any because as the lasty of the house, no serious punishment 4 any offense committed

Woow, I can't forget an incident that happened when we were growing up.
I went to fetch water in a public tap and met this beautiful girl, as a correct boy with swag, I approached the girl and started toasting.
The girl was carried away by my words and agreed. Out of happiness she went home and told her mum. Her mum came to our house and reported to my mum what transpired.
When I was called in and saw the girl and her mum in our house, I froze because obviously this is big trouble.
My mum told me to kneel down in front of the girl, imagine that, telling me that as small as I am my joystick has started rising..
The most annoying part of the whole thing is she gave the girl a cane, and told her to flog me 12 strokes of cane, I was so pained, not particularly the cane, but the person flogging me. All my big boy in the hood, Mumsy has brought it to zero.
Till date if I travel back home and and talking with the girl, you will hear her say " don't offend me before I kneel you down and flog you as I did before".

My mother was quick with the hands, so I don't consider a beating the worst punishment.
The worst would be grounding or being told to make tea as soon as I was about to hit the road. The two brought instant heartache & reduced me to tears on the spot.

Woke me at 2am to flog me of what I did the previous day.

I think I was 8yrs old then, I went with my mum to her sister's place, on getting there we meet her washing clothes. She was complaining that she hasn't eaten since morning, that she doesn't have money to buy foodstuff that it was one of her neighbors that gave her small rice to chop. She come ask if I was hungry, I said yes. Hmm, I finished the food she come dey look me some how. when we reach home if u see the kind beating wey I received from my mum ehn. I will never forget.

I'll never forget this all round beating I got from my mom on this special day. I was 9years of age then, I had a toy game which has speaker It. Unfortunately the speaker stops giving sound so I had to spoil the toy and brought out the speaker. Then I plugged it to a socket directly, and mum catch me at that spot..

She beat hell and Heaven outta of Me, after that she gave me paracetamol to use.

Till today, anytime I see someone plugging live wire into the socket, I do remember of that beating I received.
