You don't play young boys over old boys just because you have young boys in the team. At 17, Pele's team mates begged Brazil coach to play him that he had recovered from injury. He was so good that the old guys gave way to him to have his debut in the world cup. Rooney came with force at 16 and yes, the old guys knew they had to give way.

This one we are forcing average young guys into almighty United just because we feel some other guys are 30 doesn't make sense. Ajax still played 35 and 32 years old and kept young guys on the bench.
