Thanks my brother, you just wrote what I wanted to write, the maximum 3 bedroom flat in Ibadan is 400k and in places like Ringy, Bodija, can't say for alalubosa cos that place is GRA estate and not populated. Average 3 bedroom in Ibadan is 180-250k, in fact my friend is paying 150k for 4 bedroom flat at Ijokodo poly road. Face me and face you is 2k per month in Mokola, Sango, Omitowoju, Adamasinga and maybe 3k at Oketunu depending on the tushness of the houses. People start their house with 500k in Ibadan so no one pays above that per annum on a rented flats

I love my Ibadan people. Things are just too cheap in Ibadan . If you make your money and have business in Lagos and you live in Ibadan you will be king.

For people that don’t know there are 30 Naira taxi fare in Ibadan e.g sango to Mokola half way. Same distance on okada will cost you 70 naira . U.I to mokola 100 naira, similar distance in Lagos is close to 300 naira. Ojoo to iwo road on okada is about 200/250 one person (20 minutes at least) In Lagos Ojota to apostolic faith is 200 naira (4 minutes) Ikeja to Alahusa is 500 (10 minutes).

You can buy a life goat for under 12000 naira and it’ll last your family a while, you get a leg of baby goat for same price in Lagos .
Talking of babes. They come more cleaner and prettier in Ibadan than Lagos .
A Lagos girl that lives in Abule Egba face me I face you will suffer you like no tomorrow then empty ya pocket. A cinema date and trip to shoprite will do for a responsible Ibadan babe.
The city is cleaner than Lagos, am Yoruba yes but Lagos has got to be one of the dirtiest city on earth . We have lost it, we need an administration with super iron hands in Lagos.
Ibadan is everything bro. I'm from Ondo state buh was living at Ib city till recent times. Ajimobi really did a good job ampa. Ib remains my second home after my hometown till 2mao. Wonderful, beautiful cheap, accomodating, stress free.... Just name it. Ib is life.

Akala in akobo, you must have 500k at least to rent anything there.
Akobo is expensive and overhyped for no reason. Terrible roads. But they have light there sha though not like it was 2 years ago. Massive migration is being witnessed and hold up na die.
Quick story, I lived in Lagos (Ajah) and I worked in v.i so I complained of the stress and I was transferred to Ibadan where I’m based. I now live in Akobo and work at Akala express, Orita. I spend over 4 hours on the road everyday in ibadan but less than 2 hours in Lagos daily.
Think twice before you consider moving to Ibadan. Everything is just as expensive as Lagos.
bros you can lie ooo. Ibadan and expensive shouldn't be used in same sentence. Even ondo state is in everyway more expensive.

Saki is the 4th most populated region in Oyo state after Oyo, Ibadan and Ogbomoso. You will get a three or two bedroom for about 120-150k, depending on location and convinence. An average three or two bedroom flat about 100k whike a self contain depending on convinience is about 110k. Lands also are dependent on location and you can get land as much as over 2m in a prime location. New site could go for about 500-1m and above depending on how prime the location is. Saki people are popular for pulling down houses to build filling station usually old and dilapidated structures.

Saki has banking facilities in a strategic location, the road is currently undergoing dualization, there is a Polythenic which made the town popular among non indigens from other states. Saki is accomodating for all. Saki has high hills around it. There are barracks, hotels for refreshment and a prestigious event centre with beautiful landscapes and view within the event centre.

Which is bigger Saki or iseyin. Use to think Iseyin is bigger and ojke ogun capital will be in iseyin

okada between ikeja to alahusa is about 500. Okada will tell you LASMA will disturb them. Try okada between ojota and ikeja through that opebi bridge and they will tell you 300 minimum.

Well. Una doh! Lagos people. I doubt if from Maryland to ikeja under bridge pass 10mins car ride and it's 50Naira or N100 max if you enter bus. But the day I encountered traffic there. I tried joining bike. The bikers (okada) was calling N500. I was shocked. How can tfare on bike for a distance less than 15mins costs 500 Naira. I started ruminating on my options, maybe to join traffic back or kukuma trek but bike was out of my options that day. So I jejely returned to the traffic. grin

Since when did Ibadan have indigenes
I thought that it developed as a war camp for the Alaafin, with migrants/settlers from other established Yoruba towns, until they became independent. Was it not initially called Eba Odan and with an uncrowned Baale/King until Jemibewon

Yes u can? Just has @iseoluwa told, the issue with IB house rent and price is tie to location and facilities can be found in those areas.
I'm presently understuding a real estate job, under an Agent. Agent money is sometime the reason high hike of rent in Ibadan. But you need an apartment i can get you one in ur prefer location.

Bro u get it wrong here, for the record Ibadan was not a war camp for Alaafin. Ibadan was established around 1820-1829 by the settler know has lagelu, it became powerful bcoz it serve as place of refuge for those was affected by the inter-tribal war in Yoruba land then. The reason people migrate from Ife, Oyo, ijebu and egba was because Notable warriors make the new settlement their place of abode and were less concerned about kingship status but securing their abode an engaging in war. Those settler ended up to become Ibadan indigenes and the migrate.

Note: I am not an Ibadan indigenes but school and presently living and working in Ibadan.
