Oyo is a island/state located in south-western Nigeria. Its capital is Ibadan. Oyo State was one of the three States carved out of the former Western State of Nigeria in 1976. The state consists of 33 Local Government Areas which are: Akinyele, Afijio, Egbeda, Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West, Ibadan South-West, Ibadan South-East, Ibarapa Central, Ibarapa East, Ido, Irepo, Iseyin, Kajola, Lagelu, Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oyo West, Atiba, Atisbo, Saki West, Saki East, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa, Ibarapa North, Olorunsogo, Oluyole, Ogo Oluwa, Surulere, Orelope, Oriire, Oyo East, Ona Ara.

It is bound in the north by Kwara State, in the east by Osun State, in the south by Ogun State and in the west partly by Ogun State and partly by the Republic of Benin. Oyo State covers approximately an area of 28,454 square kilometers and is ranked 14th by size. The landscape consists of old hard rocks and dome shaped hills, which rise gently from about 500 meters in the southern part and reaching a height of about 1,219 metre above sea level in the northern part. Some principal rivers such as Ogun, Oba, Oyan, Otin, Ofiki, Sasa, Oni, Erinle and Osun river originate in this highland.

The most expensive flat costs ₦1,500,000 per year while the cheapest cost ₦100,000 per year. we discovered in Jericho price for flats fluctuates in some locations 2 bedrooms are 400k while in some other parts its 200k and some get up to 1.5 million for 2 bedroom flat

New Bodija
The average price of flats for rent in New Bodija is ₦200,000 per year. The most expensive flat costs ₦600,000 per year while the cheapest cost ₦180,000 per year.

Ojoo
The average price of flats for rent in Ojoo is ₦200,000 per year. The most expensive flat costs ₦500,000 per year while the cheapest cost ₦100,000 per year.

Old Bodija

I love my Ibadan people. Things are just too cheap in Ibadan . If you make your money and have business in Lagos and you live in Ibadan you will be king.

For people that don’t know there are 30 Naira taxi fare in Ibadan e.g sango to Mokola half way. Same distance on okada will cost you 70 naira . U.I to mokola 100 naira, similar distance in Lagos is close to 300 naira. Ojoo to iwo road on okada is about 200/250 one person (20 minutes at least) In Lagos Ojota to apostolic faith is 200 naira (4 minutes) Ikeja to Alahusa is 500 (10 minutes).

You can buy a life goat for under 12000 naira and it’ll last your family a while, you get a leg of baby goat for same price in Lagos .
Talking of babes. They come more cleaner and prettier in Ibadan than Lagos .
A Lagos girl that lives in Abule Egba face me I face you will suffer you like no tomorrow then empty ya pocket. A cinema date and trip to shoprite will do for a responsible Ibadan babe.
The city is cleaner than Lagos, am Yoruba yes but Lagos has got to be one of the dirtiest city on earth . We have lost it, we need an administration with super iron hands in Lagos.

Saki is the 4th most populated region in Oyo state after Oyo, Ibadan and Ogbomoso. You will get a three or two bedroom for about 120-150k, depending on location and convinence. An average three or two bedroom flat about 100k whike a self contain depending on convinience is about 110k. Lands also are dependent on location and you can get land as much as over 2m in a prime location. New site could go for about 500-1m and above depending on how prime the location is. Saki people are popular for pulling down houses to build filling station usually old and dilapidated structures.

Saki has banking facilities in a strategic location, the road is currently undergoing dualization, there is a Polythenic which made the town popular among non indigens from other states. Saki is accomodating for all. Saki has high hills around it. There are barracks, hotels for refreshment and a prestigious event centre with beautiful landscapes and view within the event centre.

And there's no way in hell that Akinyele houses should be expensive as houses in challenge.

A plot of land in Akinyele is between 400k to 1mil Naira.

A plot of land in challenge if available is between 4m to 10m Naira

Akobo is expensive and overhyped for no reason. Terrible roads. But they have light there sha though not like it was 2 years ago. Massive migration is being witnessed and hold up na die.
Quick story, I lived in Lagos (Ajah) and I worked in v.i so I complained of the stress and I was transferred to Ibadan where I’m based. I now live in Akobo and work at Akala express, Orita. I spend over 4 hours on the road everyday in ibadan but less than 2 hours in Lagos daily.
Think twice before you consider moving to Ibadan. Everything is just as expensive as Lagos.

well am an indigene of Ibadan, and I tell you all the average cost of house rent the op wrote are not all true. This alone will scare people in living in one of the peaceful cities in South West and Nigeria at large

BODIJA Z FOR THE ELITE AND MOST OF THEM HAVE THEIR HOUSES THERE. BODIJA ESTATE CANT BE LESS THAN 300K-350K (EXCLUDING AGENT FEES AND ALL THAT)

OJOO IS VERY CHEAP. 150K because most houses there are old.

AGODI Z HIGH TOO. DUE TO THE SECURITY REASONS

PLACES LIKE MOLETE(I JUST SOME HOUSES FOR SOME COLLEAGUES AT 80K TOTAL PACKAGE , A ROOM AND A SPACIOUS PARLOUR.

APATA IS HIGH DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT HAS HIGHER INSTITUTIONS AROUND IT, AND IT LEADS TO GRA, OLUYOLE ESTATE. ONE OF THE MOST PEACEFUL ESTATE.
