The British media (pundits) are already predicting a Liverpool v Spurs UCL Finals, but they would be greatly disappointed. I think it's most likely gonna be a Barca v Ajax finals. Mark my words!

O pari

It's normal the British support the British and the Spanish will support the Spanish

If I have Madrid/Barca or ATM in the semis I will also predict an all Spanish final ,it has happen twice in the past 4 years

Chelsea and Man U did it 08 or so ,so they are hoping for another one ,but Barcelona will spoil the show

Watch and see

It's gonna be a cracker, but we'll be ready. I mean, I would rather that we play Liverpool in the semi finals than face this youthful Ajax team.

And by the way, a Barca v Ajax finals (if that happens) is going to a show for the ages - the beautiful game at its best!

Liverpool is a very strong team but we will beat them

I would have prefer Tottenham, let me teach them a lesson they will never forget

I am happy for the media to be tipping Liverpool as favorites,I am really happy

yes,we r yet to qualify.
But we'll definitely qualify,4 us not to, we have to lose by 3 goals to nil while angola wins, which is highly unlikely

If Angola beat Tanzaniaa 2:0 and Uganda beat Nigeria 1:0. Angola and Uganda qualify

I very much doubt so, can not see Ajax beating Tottenham.

Barcelona may beat Liverpool but it will not be easy.

OK O. Underrate Ajax at your own peril. Any team that upsets Real Madrid and Juventus ought to be feared. Spurs is a good team with an excellent coach, but right now I will give the edge to Ajax. They have shown themselves to be giant killers grin

Yea, Liverpool was one team I had wanted to avoid until maybe the finals. But I think Barca would be ready for them. Barca has literally won the league, so they can now rotate more players and keep players fresh. And Samuel Umtiti is coming back from injury to help strengthen the defense line, as well.

Understood. But they gotta have some nerves to assume that Liverpool can beat Barca. To me, Barca is still the favorites even if the second leg is played at Anfield. We have #Messi and they don't grin

Wow. That's not good news for Barca. I mean, even though Umtiti has been out of form this season, I still trust him over that Clement Lenglet guy. Barca is still very susceptible at the defensive end, but I will blame the Barca board for the whole mess. They kept wasting money on strikers and AMs (Dembele, Coutinho, etc) that they don't need instead of strengthening the team with solid defenders and DMs.

As far back as 3 or 4 seasons ago when Ngolo Kante was still at Leicester city was when I recommended him to Barca, same with Virgil Van Dijk then at Southampton, but they let both players go. Meanwhile, I have recently recommended these players for this coming transfer season.
Any 2 of these 3 defenders:
Toby Alderweirld
Jan Vertonghen
Matthijs de Ligt

Plus Veratti and Kante to strengthen the DM. Sergio Busquets ain't getting any younger.

I hate it when people derail this thread, let's stick to the title of this thread which is for anything SUPER EAGLES. Sometimes you see politics, ethnic post and lately club football even where no super eagles player features. Afcon is less than 3 months, our scrutiny of the strenght and weaknesses of the Super Eagles should occupy our discuss not this UCL. Who UCL epp?

There's no way we will discuss the super eagles without involving club football and even politics and ethnicity... they are inter related.... The Champions league we are discussing about has African players headed for the AFCON in it.. Abi u don't know that we will be facing Naby Keita soon? grin

Any discussion related to football and devoid of insult should be welcomed here... some of us learn a lot from these discussions...
