Gold exploitation by Foreign Terrorist Organizations composed of ISWAP and ALQIM members from across West Africa, Libya and Algeria are at the heart of the crisis in Zamfara.

The saddening aspect of this is that the Buhari led FG is on the know and from all indications the invaders have his blessings.

It appears the Buhari led FG has allowed terrorists from both ALQIM/ISWAP and BH free reign on Zamfara and parts of Sokoto.

The Buhari govt appears to be funding these terrorist organization by allowing them free access to gold deposits at the expense of his own citizens.

The Sahelian and Arab invaders are not on their own, as the Fulani herdsmen are their advance scout team who rid communities and farmlands where gold deposits exist.

You will recall that Miyetti Allah came out last year to defend these invaders as "peaceful grazers" and even threatened to take the laws into their hands if the Nigerian Security apparatuses clampdown on them.

My highly credible source stated that these foreigners travel around Zamfara from Sokoto in caravans of camels and donkeys sometimes 200 strong with no effort by Security forces to engage or stop them.

The figure 39k tons of gold isn’t credible. The country with the highest gold ore reserves is Australia with 9,800 metric Tonnes.

Yes it is credible this mined gold. Alot of countries mine much more gold in a year than this. China mined much more gold than that. Having bigger reserves doesn't mean you have more output necessarily.

Ok checked both releases it was a typo on NBS part when making info graphic. I wouldn't say a typo indicates guess work but you're free to your opinion. I think they're best source on topics like this. I dont see any credible alternatives.

I'm not a fan of Buhari. I'm even apolitical.

But to say that the bandits have Buhari's tacit support is preposterous and should be dismissed.

The only reason why you say so is because he is Fulani. Were the same to happen during OBJ's tenure, you'd say Northerners were trying to destabilise his government.
