US Embassy Sends Message To Nigerians On Dress Code For Visa Interview by MacTv(op): 8:52am On Apr 19, 2019
The United States of America Embassy in Nigeria has clarified that dress code is not a requirement for obtaining the country's visa.

Speaking during a Facebook live session on Wednesday, the consular officers said that the applicants could come with their traditional wears as it makes look unique.

The officials addressed the common mistakes seen on DS 160 application form, stating that no one needs to have someone residing in the US and also no prior travelling experience is needed before one can be granted visa.

When asked if dress code is being considered during interviews, an official said: “No. It’s not a consideration when doing your interview.

“Be comfortable. Don’t feel like you need to put on a suit if you don’t usually wear a suit. Don’t wear a suit. Wear what you would wear if you are going to any normal appointment.

“We want you to be you. We want you to be as relaxed as possible for the interview. Talk to us.”

They should infer straight-forward that 'you monkeys should come in your primitive wears to be considered as visa is for the whites' and not just imposing colonial policies on Nigerians.
.
Believe, you will see one ne'er-refusing-to-leave-presidency president say 'you fifu yaf tried to remember us of our culture' now.

Una don hear tongue

Wearing a 150k dress suit or Gucci designers clothing is never a yardstick for obtaining the US Visa.

Your intention is what they judge coupled with your ability to be financially independent! These guys are very smart and are trained to be mind readers cheesy

Useless idiots!

Scammers!

Going to be the US embassy is just a way of wasting your hard-earned money.

Of the 100 candidates who attend the interview, only 2 get it.

Funnily enough, they just give everyone the same excuse why they wouldn't give u the US visa: you want to run away from Nigeria!

When did the American Embassy hire Lie Mohammed as their PR manager?

See lies!!

If you have no travel history, your chances of being denied are higher.
If you dress like a poor man and they sense that you cannot afford to maintain yourself while you are there........ grin grin

Lmao...This is what happens when you refuse to develop your own country but instead you prefer running upandan, every country would rubbish you even tiny African countries. I'm sure the day would come when ghana would pull out of ECOWAS because of Nigeria just so they can demand for visa from us.

Any visa applicant that listens to this consular is not serious.

Wear native at your detriment.

They won't hear, they think US embassy is like Nigeria job recruiters that would subject you to wearing suits even for aptitude test.

The difference between US and Nigeria will always be there.
