Good evening Gurus in the house.
I discovered that my note 7 speaker and earpiece stopped working this evening without any fall or drop in water. I used it an hour before then without any hassles. Have restarted it but it's still the same.
How can I troubleshoot it please oo.
Can it also be as a result of the update to the latest version (10.3.1.0)I did three days ago??

Settings - About phone - tap kernel version repeatedly, you'll see the tests you want. Meanwhile I think you should download the rom again and flash manually, I doubt it's hardware issue.

But I use screen guard all the time.. The longest time I have spent so far without a screen protector was 4 hours I think... I think I got a solution on xda, by turning off Miui optimisation in developer options

I had similar issues on my Redmi 5 plus until I updated to MIUI 10. If you have pending updates try and update it.

Watsapp, swipe the notification from ryt to left, ull see setting and option to mute � it. Do wat u want there
Go to the tweak thread or thread store, I think someone just posted the link
I personally use SwiftKey... But u can try gboard... Any of themjs great
