how is dis charger operation now? is it still a good buy? i have the blue coloured 30amp suoer and iv repaired a burnt resistor thrice since buying it less than 3months back. do i go for the 50amp version? wont it be an overkill for a 180ahr battery?

Hello, it works great ! Something must have affected yours if it's the same blue color make I use .. It's best you install with a stabilizer if unsure of your grid input "VAC"... Happy Easter Sir smiley

Yes there is a stab in between it and grid. Is it ok to get the 50amp version then? Mine is the 30amp with an lcd screen.

Happy easter to you and yours sir

I'll call the number you put there and hope he isnt mischievious cos He may claim a modified is pure sine just to make a sale. Fingers crossed

the battery is less than two months and its never been overcharged... the charger makes hissing sounding now and turns green really fast. I doubt if the battery is bad. no physical damage or bulge ... its doesnt even get warm during charging. I think the ups charger interfered with the souer charger feed back system and damaged the charger.

I have to get a new charger to charge first before concluding that a less than 2months old 200ah ba3 is bad. mind u, I bought up to six on d same day, only this one is misbehaving... other are still enjoying cos they ain't using dis kind of charger.

Could this be what burnt my own 30amps souer? Cos I'm using it on a battery working with an apc 650ups. Once power was interrupted and restored the mf spat out flames from inside and died again.

Pls, kindly share how you sorted out the charger problem. Thanks

I think this ups and smart charger combo is a major downside of this setup.

Less than a week of using my own setup, the coil in my 2 standing fans got spoilt. The fans' indicator would come on, but the blades wont rotate.

Next, the battery stopped delivering current. I thought it was bad initially, but when i observed the charger closely, i noticed the needle that moves when you switch it on doesnt move anymore, meaning the charger was faulty and wasnt charging the battery anymore.

The charger is the blue 30amps Souer smart charger and i think it gets spoilt easily, from tje feedback here so far.

I am now scares of repairing the charger and using tje set up as it may damage the coil of the new rechargeable i just bought.

What do you guys advise i do?

seem your ups is not pure sine wave, whats is the Make? its not really advisable to use a regular AC fan on small ups/inverter. look for a 12v/rechargeable fans. it works better and consume far less energy.

i have used two 12v smart chargers( analog and digital) and none have issues. seems am lucky smiley

get the digital version of the blue souer, i believe its stronger and works better
i doubt if it can damage your new rechargeable fan.maybe u should get an APC 12v 1000VA ups. i av seen the inside components of bluegate & APC. APC is by far stronger & better( real copper transformer) cheers cool

my 12v 30amp souer charger still works well, I even use it to boost my neighbors' car batteries if its badly drained ....

ur fan coil spoilt as a result of vibration cos the ups is not pure sinewave

a recharge able fan is ur best bet... my standing fan doesn't hum though. and my 1.5kva. 12v ups still do the magic for me......

get someone to check the mosfets for u , if it's bad , replace them and continue to enjoy ur charger, but if the SMDs r damaged, u may need to get a new one

..
lastly, if u r getting a new charger, go for analogue, the seller at idi oro told me, the digital one is not as strong as the analogue

this charger has three models, the first is the analog, then came the first digital charger, this first digital didn't move , then came this latest digital, and I am using it now and its working well for me, and I am sure its an improvement to the analog, this new digital has a screen that shows time and temperature of battery, battery maintenance, charge voltage and charge current

15k, u know the price he gives me is different from the price he give nairalanders , or dollar exchange rate can also change his price, the 30amp of this new charger is smaller in size to the analog 30amp

True that, u Na chairman for him side na grin grin grin. But the chargers I bought from him then didn't last at all. The black 12/24v digital charger, the one that lasted only stayed 3months. But I'll give him another try with this one.

Hopefully it should be better

he doesn't have 40amp, he said it didn't move ,so he sold all to those in the north at a cheaper rate, all these charge has demands, 10, 20 and 30amp na hot cake, the Analog 40amp too move,
to me OK, I prefer this digital to the analog, using for over 0ne month now.... , it doesn't get too hot like the analog while charging

True, the UPS i use is the 650VA Bluegate, constructed with a fan inside. I think it is the component damaging my fans. How much can i buy the APC 12v 1000VA? And the new digital Souer smart charger, where can we get it cheaper than 15k. I need to cut my cost.

u should have used the 1.5kva, I mentioned it on one of the pages that the small ups is for smaller loads and rechargeable fans are best for these ups 1.2 /1.5kva ups, not the 650va

go to oshodi arena, not many of them selling knows that bluegate has 12v 1.2 or 1.5kva ups, I was shocked when a seller said there nothing like 12v 1.5kva ups except in 24v, 12v 1.2 or 1.5 kva must have 2red and 2 black wires inside, 24volt has only 1 black and 1 red wire inside or u go straight to the guy I gave u people his number, he knows .
u can go to Shop c 20 shop 8&9 army arena 12v fan . for 12v fan , this fan has a very big head bigger than mine, its an upgrade to the one I am using, has blade guard and u can connect to battery directly but not advisable to do so, just get a 12v power pack and connect to ur ups or electricity, the fan dey blow
