see as online marketers nearly killed this beautiful thread with their over inflated (ọsọ ahịa) prices. i discovered my 3000w rubitec inverter have a self consumption of about 70 to 110w. so i have decided to try something new this year, since my normal load doesn't surpass 100w. i av bought a bluegate 1200VA Ups and a 12V 30amps charger. i already have 2pcs 200ah batteries and 4pcs 200w solar panel and a 30amps mppt charger controller. (thanks ceejay80s for the help in acquiring the bluegate) i will see how it goes...i want encourage some people who wish to add solar that this is the right time, u can get a very good brand new 200w mono solar panel(like mine) for as low as 30k, and a solar controller for cheaper prices. i can drop the contact if needed. as for other items the prices ranges as follows *subject to location and market forces*
bluegate 650va ups 12v = 2k to 4k
bluegate 1200VA ups 12V= 5k to 8k
30amps 12v smart charger= 11k to 15k
200amps fairly used battery(depending on product, grade and extent of use)=35k to 60k
but i suggest a brand new 200ah battery, u can get a very good product as low as 85k.. shylock online marketers stay away!!!

Hello, your question is self explicit ! Off grid design entails solar charge and gen charge against rainy days "emergency"! Ups will always need an external charger to cover rainy emergency periods, which you would only get a good/relatively cheap external intelligent charger in 12v specs at the advantage of a gen efficiently powering it up! If you are to use APC 1.5kva ups as a pure sinewave fan like me, getting durable 24v charger will cost you much unless the Emerson bulk DC converters"not 3 stage charger" tagged chargers which your Gen set won't still power it up ! If you need modified system, opt in for Mercury inverter 1kva of 40k range .. OR

Why not save yourself the headache and get 12v 1kva sure sine system at an affordable cost (50-55k) & be happy you did !

For this price, it certainly is a Modified Sine Wave inverter. A pure sine wave inverter of similar model will be at least $150.

Hello, simply locate your DC multimeter be it fluke/uni T and test the charging current et volt for confirmation OK... Famicare you guys are all discussing about isn't an intelligent charger , its all in same group with einhell,absaar,Bosch etc and all grouped under transformer - rectifier based and has no sensitive PIC board to interact with 3-4 stages in charging process.. Yo Souer might be black and a lil bit inferior if u are on a 12v system , but my blue Suder has been working well in charging and intelligently floating(13.2v) batteries after bulk/boost charge(14.5v) stage .. See attached pic below;

how is dis charger operation now? is it still a good buy? i have the blue coloured 30amp suoer and iv repaired a burnt resistor thrice since buying it less than 3months back. do i go for the 50amp version? wont it be an overkill for a 180ahr battery?
