I believe u must have used okada and keke napep, do u show them any respect? How many times have u greeted an okada man or keke rider old enough to be your father before mounting bike? What kind of respect do u show to them because u didn't buy d bike, fuel and do maintenance for them? I am not saying Uber riders maintain same job status with okada riders, but if someone is paying for a service, i think respect should be d least of your worries attending to them. As long as they did not insult u.

Every time. Including bus conductors and drivers. It's courtesy to a fellow human being. It's self respect.

OP was referring to the tone with which the rider spoke to him (he said rider was rude). He's not particular about greeting. Greeting is nothing as far as I'm concerned. I always greet but if I get no response, no problem, I just face front & drive.

Guy, you are so good at getting on people's nerves. You didn't get on mine though, I'm just laughing out here grin
I haven't written anything bad back there. I'm only trying to say they both disrespected each other on purpose. Talking about okada, kèké or danfo, I no dey call them for phone na, so what's up with greetings. Moreover, I do show a lot of courtesy and respect to anyone and everyone. Eg, I gave a guy money when he wanted to clean my windshield (despite the fact that I refused his offer). Bottomline is, I respect people's hustle a lot, no matter how dirty or less paying it might be, as long as they hustle to feed themselves and not become beggar.
And accusing the guy of dragging this issue over some pages, you are the one doing the dragging sir, if you had kept your fingers off your keyboard, he wouldn't have had to reply.

Now, let's get to to drive wink

oga you are just being rude for no reason, that young man you called a small boy is paying for a service you are about rendering, he has every right to choose to respect or not respect you,
forget about d respect, do your job, get paid and leave

You would sacrifice your self worth for 1000naira trip?

The way u are dragging this issue over how many pages now bespeaks u got attitude as well. Only someone with pride yearn for so much respect. Respect no dey put food for table. When u fly okada do u greet them before mounting the bike? Respect should be d least of your worries abeg!
Yours is to make money and leave, as long as they are not insulting u, i see no reason why u should be this annoyed.
Thanks, noted.

Hello, unless you dont vslue the platform you work with. Some riders can go to any length to have you permanently blocked for just behaviours. Uber especially places emphasis on value.

A guy simply advised his rider against abortion in the US and was reported and blocked.

Again, I disagree. If you read where this was coming from, then you'd understand better.
And your example; advising someone against abortion? Him dey craze, na him put am there, why the guy come become pastor instead of driver begin dey preach against abortion?

Lastly, I've had an extremely terrible ride with a man's wife before where the man was calling and shouting and threatening to report me to uber (he did actually, gave me 1 star and left a bad review). But I didn't get banned. In the light of this, please let us make this job a respectable one for ourselves, this platform was created to share experience not to condemn someone's way of running his business. Blessings sir, and tons of back to back trips wink

Riders are now becoming smarter since drivers are refusing to do short trips. As I was driving out of VGC I got a request from a lady who said she ws at Dmatel hotel by Askamaya and she's going to Ikoyi. I was happy cos she wasn't going towards Ajah cos of the mega chicken traffic. As we hit the express babe made what I suspected to be a fake call and thereafter told me that she wasn't going to Ikoyi anymore that she's gonna change destination to Mega chicken. I gats quickly do a u turn and face mega chicken. Got to destination, ended trip N430. Chai that thing dey pain. Samething happened on Sat. Picked a rider from one Arts exhibition center at Onikan and she was going to Chevron drive only for her to change destination to a restaurant on Awolowo way after a call. Got to destination ended trip N378.

Short trip is needed at times. Especially when you are targeting taxiscam bonus or you want to do your first 15 trips on uber and qualify for their 0% service fee. I did mostly short 15 trips yesterday and qualified for the incentive very early this morning.

You're very lucky. The counter doesn't show on my app. I was discouraged to work on Sun as after completing 17 trips on Sat, I still didn't get the 0% notification throughout on Sun
