Well even if the residents reported then for religious reasons it doesn't matter. The fact is the city need laws on the books to prosecute or they be back in business the next night. Saying everyone else is breaking the law isnt a defense in court. Im sure every criminal knows at 5 others that weren't caught.

Strip clubs aren't illegal. If they want to conduct business without being bothered just follow rules.

You just don't get it. Either you are very naive or you are not in Nigeria. The police did not intent to make any statement. They intent to make money from bail. Once the people get to the police station each person arrested will be billed from 10k to 50k depending on perceived status. Those that can't pay will sleep the night at the station. By the next day the amount of bail would have reduced by half. The fine ladies would be given the option of paying by other means. If after 2 days, they are unable to receive any money from the few remaining. They would be let go.

The owner of the strip club will go and settle the DPO and the boys, ,and the club will open the very next day.

Ask people close to the strip club to check tonight, I am sure they will be open for business.

I travelled out of town for the Easter, if not I would have definitely gone there to see what's going on. I'll be there this Friday, and I'm dead certain it would be open by then. It's not the first time that these fools have raided the place and temporarily shut it down.

It's arguably the most profitable joint in the whole of Abuja (even without the strip club, just the outside bar and life band alone sef), and with the kind of cash flow it generates, it simply can't be shut down now. The owner would pay anything to keep it running. Even the customers are highly influential and super rich, so they would pull strings to keep it running. If I tell you the caliber of heavyweights I've seen in that place (including so-called Muslim abokki big men), you will be shocked.
