God forbid dat stupid Mandela.
Just an over hyped person
I will choose Kanu and idi Amin over him a million times

Great to see that Africans are waking up to the fact that Mandela was hyped by the West to get away with their crimes. If the table was turned, the Apartheid leaders and their collaborators will have been hounded like the Nazi's till this day. Mandela was a compromised sell out. Wait until the book detailing all that happened behind the scenes comes out

Bob Marley by far. He is known worldwide and his work lives on and still very relevant till tomorrow. All the other greats are not on his level in terms of coverage and relevance of work

As a musician yes...but when it comes to being the most 'influential' it has to be between Obama and Mandela...yes Luther broke the grounds for the likes of Obama, but Obama's influence and policies are more far reaching directly or indirectly across the globe.

For me?
Thomas Sankara
Bob Marley
Fela
Marcus Garvey
Patrice Lumumba
Malcolm X
Dim Ojukwu
Kwame Nkrumah
John H Clarke
Chinua Achebe
Ngugi Wa Thiong O
Haile Selassie (if black)
Even James Baldwin and Mugabe
Their influence is from a very “woke” aware, freedom seeking and African loving perspective
