Imagine this rubbish! Halle Sellassie that was assassinated by his officers.
the guy is not far from the truth but his is twisted .. The rasta saw him as a god, not that he was was a god. And he claimed to be a descendant of the lost tribes of Israel. . He was very influencial though.. he even has a holiday ...

PAQ:
Influential means; having great influence on someone or something.

To me its Micheal Jackson. He is the most popular black man on this earth, from North pole to south pole, Asia, Africa and even Arabia... His face and names is known in places where the likes of Martin Luther, Nelson Mandela, Bob Marley etc are not. His Music, dancing steps and even dressing influenced people all around the world.
shame how it ended..
if only he wasn't ashamed to be a Blackman..for that reason no..
He's the most popular/famous among anyone on this list though

Just the composition of this list alone shows what low achievers black people are.

If an ALL TIME list includes the likes of Tupac in it then one can only surmise that black people are desperately short of real role models.

Where are the black Einsteins? Where are the black Isaac Newtons, Shakespeares, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerbergs, Steve Jobs, Alan Turings, Carl Sagans,Louis Pasteurs, Wright Brothers, Thomas Edison, Tessla, Elon Musk, etc etc?

If a list of most influential White men were to be compiled or influential Asians, it would be far more impressive and make a lot more sense than this joke of a list.

Booker T. Washington is greater than all of them combined

Mj was very famous no doubt but what was his influence on the blacks? That’s the bone of contention. I’m sure lots didnt even know he was a black man!

Its not fair to be asked to choose just one. If have to choose from this list however, it would be 1.Martin Luther King/Malcolm X pair. 2. Nelson Mandela. Sorry I can't choose one.

The OP that compiled this list needs serious education.

Where are the greatest Africans they never teach you a about in class?

This demonstrates the mis-education of Africans.

What he achieved is that he stood up to fight for the freedom of his people from "Hausa/Fulani controlled Nigeria". It is a very hard thing for one to rise and fight the freedom the people. Ojukwu may not have succeeded, but the fact that he tried to liberate his people, when all others chose the easy route of 'surrendering' to the North, makes him one of the greatest freedom fighters to come out of Africa

Mandela without blinking. Give a man power and judge him. He mentained his stand on equality even without power and with power. Not an easy act to pull off.

Martin was great. even without power to judge, one can just see his soul clearly and is vision of little black boys and little blacks girls holding hands is today a reality.

But the greatest of them all is my father.the greatest man the world probably never knew.

...you have a point...but he did break the black and white divide in the industry ...those days, blacks were not valued in the entertainment industry and there videos and music wasn't aired on mainstream TV and radio. His Album thriller broke that and did wonders...so people like Beyonce, jayz, kanye etc should give him thanks for that

The list below contains the names of some of the most influential black men whose works were highly appreciated by many people across the world.Lets get your opinion on whom do you think was the most influential one in terms of the way they imparted lives during the course of their active service in life.In no particular order, i have selected a few to choose from and they are:

1. Martin Luther Jnr.
2. Marcus Garvey.
3.Malcolm X.
4.Fela Anikulapo Kuti
5.Rev. Jesse Jackson.
6.Tupac Amaru Shakur.
7.Bob Nesta Marley.
8.Fmr. President Barack Obama.
9.Michael Jackson.
10.Nelson Mandela

Everybody on that list was/is a student of Garvey, so it has to be Garvey. Kwame Nkrumah should be on the list but he was also a student of Garvey.

The real Christ is Marcus Garvey.

Great to see that Africans are waking up to the fact that Mandela was hyped by the West to get away with their crimes. If the table was turned, the Apartheid leaders and their collaborators will have been hounded like the Nazi's till this day. Mandela was a compromised sell out. Wait until the book detailing all that happened behind the scenes comes out

How come the same west jailed him for 27years ?
