Hello!
From my little findings on canadavisa forum, F1-f3 is no longer evaluated as a 1 year certificate. I think it used to be evaluated as such before now, but not anymore.

F1-F9 still gives you a college degree evaluation. So the best bet is to go for CIMA(B1-B4) that still receives a positive evaluation from WES.

With your knowledge of ACCA, only little revision studies needs to be done to pass the CIMA according to what I heard.
Fm90:
Goodevening house..please i need help on a particular issue..is there anyone who has successfully evaluated f1 to f3 acca recently with wes and has gotten it as diploma as a friend who wrote his under 5month got his acca evaluated as just a semester course. In order to increase our score hubby resulted to writing Acca and he's about to write the third stage now under a spacing of 5month.We are really worried we might not get ours as diploma also when we evaluate.

Hello ChyG, congrats on your PPR.

Pls I want to clarify; which passport did you submit for your kids? Is it their US passport or d Nig one.

Thank you

Thanks dear. I submitted both their Nigerian and US passports. Cost is same for each person's passport regardless of the number of passports he/she holds.
However, some people merely send photocopies of their children's US passports. That way, they end up not paying passport transmission fees for family members who are US citizens.

A wise man will tell you to apply now. Just read 4 to 5 pages back of an applicant that added spouse after PPR.

Sponsoring spouse from Canada is a different ball game and more complicated than you think.

Please add your spouse now. If he so much loves Nigeria, he can do soft landing and come back to continue is naija loving.

Hello fam, I'm a lady that started my canadian process as single. I just got married this April but my biometrics and medicals have already been done and background checks have commenced. I have already discussed with hubby and we concluded that I should finish my processing as a single and land in Canada first as POF for two will increase. Then start processing as a married for him when I have settled in. My question is, hope it won't affect anything, what if I get pregnant, and how long does it take after landing to file for spousal support. Please advise house.

Hello all, so I got this question "Has ****Applicant**** been refused refugee status, or an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other country?"

I want to be sure if I'm to answer YES or NO. REASON: Before facing EE squarely, I have submitted an application to a province for nomination which was later returned as ineligible after a year plus processing. Is that enough ground to answer yes to this?

Darn! Prof you harsh ooo.... tongue
I'm very sorry if this is how you perceive our situation. Most of us are under a lot of pressure right about now.
In my instance, my family and I have to land in Canada by May 29th as medicals are on the verge of expiration. Mine is a family of 4, so the move is a very big deal... planning and a whole lot of other things to do. Meanwhile COPR ain't yet in the bag. Have I mentioned flight and accommodation arrangement? It's a whole lot sir. Please bear with us. I already mentioned my EOR victory, IQAS, FBI PCC, Nigerian PCC from Port harcourt e.t.c in my older posts [ you see...It's not in my character to be a bad shild tongue]. AVO did us strong thing sha

raphrulz:
As much as I understand the wait.... I feel it's not good enough.

There are many people that have definitely waited for longer than you, but gave very worded PPR scripts...

Bearing in mind the purpose, which is to help others still processing theirs, you would do it selflessly, without putting much of your interest in mind.

Think about it, how would it have been if people did not share their experiences on this platform. Maybe it would have been difficult to guide many of us in this journey.

Congratulations all the same.

I no sure say we dey rate this script sha... because you wouldn't have mentioned if Adunnee did not write what she wrote.

Answer YES. You applied for PNP which was not accepted. That’s definitely a refusal.

1. Thanks to everyone on this thread. Started the Canada journey in 2017 after so many years of trying to get scholarships to study abroad.

2. I started reading people's experiences on NL and that was what prompted me to try. I enrolled for ielts and wrote on Dec 2nd, 2017. My score was LRWS- 9, 7.5, 7.5, 7. I prepared hard from January till I wrote in Dec, even though some months were quite tight because I was running a masters program in Uyo.

3. I decided to evaluate my transcript for B. tech From Lautech after waiting for months for my "never ending" masters thesis to be vetted. Lautech too had its own issues being on strike for over 18 months, so the moment they called off that strike in january, I paid Wes and sent my transcript. The process was very easy for me. The evaluation was ready early March.

4. My crs score with just the B.Tech wasn't still enough, my birthday was approaching in April and the masters program was still unsure cos nasu was now on strike. Luckily, Nasu called off the strike in March and I ran to Uyo to pick up my vetted thesis. I quickly corrected it and submitted hard bound copies for senate to sit. My masters degree was awarded 2 days later. So I quickly paid Wes again and sent my transcript for evaluation in April. The evaluation was ready in June, so my crs shoot up from 435 to 470. I also didn't have continuous work experience from one company so I wanted to use just one year from recent years which would take my crs to 445. I didn't know what the cut off in the next draw would be so I played safe with the 3 years...

5. On June 25, 2018, there was a draw with 442 cut off, I checked my account and saw my ita had not dropped so I removed the other 2 years and my score dropped to 445. I got ITA a few hours later. N/B. I did an LOE for this o, to explain why I moved my other 2 years work experience to personal history.

6. In April my dad gifted me my 100% pof and we did a gift deed with his lawyer. I went to Lagos for medicals and police certificate. I got the other documents like bank statement, employment letter, confirmation letter, reference letter and I had loads of documents I uploaded, I even had to prove my relationship with my uncle who lives in Canada, I did this with pictures cos there was no Birth certificate to use. I had loe for every place holder. On July 13th I submitted and the wait began. While waiting, I messaged MP Ralph in October and was informed that my VO was Ottawa, this gave me hope.

7. I started planning on adding my fiance in November so we began preparations in October.

8. I received ppr on the 20th of November, 2018 6 days before my wedding. A day after my wedding I raised cse. They responded and we gathered documents including updated POF and submitted on the 15th of December, 2018. We received ADR few days later for clear copies of the previously submitted docs and another e medical document.

9. In February, I ordered notes and I raised cse in March when I was becoming impatient, to know the status of my application and that was when I found out my file had been moved to Accra... I didn't know how to feel... Could it be my husbands military service? This worried me... I mailed Ralph again in March and I was informed our marriage was confirmed genuine and my spouse added to my application on the 6th of February, 2019.

10. I surrendered all to God... Told Him not to put me to shame cos trust me, thoughts were coming as to why I didn't just go and sponsor later... As worries set in I raised cse and wrote a painful piece, they replied saying they'll try to make it faster but I should forward all enquires directly to AVO.... I sent same message to AVO and till now I didn't get a reply... Till now my GCMS note hasn't come... Thank God for this group for our joint prayers and moral support...

well, personally, I've benefited so much from this forum as well as from people's experiences.

At some point, I asked an agent how much it would cost me if He were to handle this EE thing for me, dude told me 2.5m (I get to write my ielts, figure out my Wes, medicals and pcc), so it was plain obvious that I would be paying Him 2.5m just for information, converting my files to PDF and clicking submit.

And if you've ever had to rewrite ielts, you would know that sometimes the determination within isn't enough, having read from scripts the numerous times people had to struggle with ielts and eventually passed, that was just the external strength I craved for.

So to all the good peeps of Nairaland, your apt responses to questions and the various links on page 1 saved your guy some good cash.

You absolutely need to inform IRCC of the change in your family composition. If you don't and land Canada, would you answer at the POE that you are single? If you do that and it is later found out that you were indeed married at the time, that's misrepresentation. If you tell the truth that you are married (but didn't update your family composition earlier), you'll be sent back to Nigeria on the next flight. To avoid stories that touch, inform IRCC immediately even if your hubby is not travelling with you.

what if you indicate that your family composition has not changed, after receiving PPR? then you later apply for spousal sponsorship, your marriage DATE would definitely raise an eyebrow. Because it would definitely show that, your marriage was before PPR, and you still didn't indicate that, in the change in family form. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE, THAT'S MISREPRESENTATION. others can look into this joo2018

1st attempt - 2005 ( study permit denied, Lagos)
2nd attempt - 2014 (visitor's visa denied, Lagos)
3rd attempt - 2015 ( study permit denied, Lagos)
4th attempt - 2017 ( study permit denied, London)
5th attempt - 2018 ( permanent residency approved baby!)

I always wanted to go to Canada. Always been my only interest. I used to say it will be Nigeria or Canada for me. I even learnt the national anthem... After all the earlier attempts, I lost my guts. Went to join hubby in England, and tried to face the future.

You know that thing about true love eh? I couldn't settle for England. I woke one morning, told hubby I was booking a flight to return to Nigeria, he asked me to book for me and shoot, a week after we landed back home.

I got really fearful I've made a mistake, all the admission letters ( from 3 universities sitting in my inbox), some pounds in my account, I started looking for work again in Nigeria. Was invited to my previous work place in Lagos, but I knew accepting it will cost someone else her job. So I turned it down. I finally got a job. They were deceived to think I'm a serious person, they promoted me easily... All I wanted was to go school in Canada...

Hubby then mentioned express entry. I couldn't care anymore. I grudgingly wrote the IELTS. Loads of youtube tutorials, I used tutorials by Jay and Liz. Passed it all. Hubby wrote too, and he passed.

So I asked for a sign from God , that we can gather the POF with ease. ( Funds were mainly reasons for refusal earlier). Na so both Mums funded our account, plus our savings.

Timeline :

AOR :September 23, 2018
Biometrics : October 23, 2018
Teary day in between when I realized file was in Accra.
ADR : The famous 5. Submitted March 10.
PPR: April 23, 2019. It finally came in the mid of a meeting. I was just looking at them all and writing my resignation mentally.

This morning, we have begun searching for flights. And I'm beyond grateful and dazed by God. I'm finally going to school in Canada. And it's on the best visa I could imagine ...

Morale:

Pray to God. He's alive.

Don't stop dreaming, you have no idea how many conversations I've had with Canadian professors and friends in my head.

While waiting, get better. Stay prepared. I honestly made alot of decisions considering my baggage in kg, if it will be useful in Canada...

Pray to God . He better be involved every step of the way.

Ask questions. Stay informed. Seek for answers. Seek for help...

Stay hopeful and positive. All those shit refusals are over now!

Pray to God. Thank Him. It's time for Thanksgiving. Whether you've received yours or not.

Thank you fam. Loads of love from a clinic, someone thinks a baby is on the way...
