Because they showed one doesn't mean only one was present, dragon fire could have killed the others, another soldier could have killed the soldier, a hundred possibilities could have happened

They do not understand battle, it's strategies...fighting in general. What's the use of putting them in battle only for them to become a liability.

One of the bravest things to do is know who you are, who you really are. And be contented with it. Those in the crypt weren't useless. They just stepped aside for those who were good at the killing do it.

Valyrian Steel are supposedly forged with Dragon Fire, according to legend. Every Valyrian Steel is said to contain magic spells, giving it magical characteristics. Besides, most typical swords can comfortably pierce through armours, depending on how it is forged, the type of armour and all.

So regardless of how huge or little the steel is, it still carries the same power as the other forged Valyrian Steel. One could even argue that the Night King's knowledge of Jon being in possession of the Steel was what made him reanimate fresh bodies in order to defending himself. The Night King saw the power of the steel in the previous season.

The steel is not just rare because Valyria not longer existed. The argument would be the number of Dragons available, spell casters to fuse the spell and the Dragon fire in order to forge to steel.

An armour wouldn't have been able to stop the power of the steel.

Arya may just be the ‘prince’ that is mentioned in the prophecy. A relentless battle until a last minute reprieve by Arya. Too many dark scenes, it was quite difficult to see what was going sometimes so had to turn off the lights in the living room. I suspect people with poorly calibrated TVs would have also found key moments during the battle of Winterfell difficult to see. It was a epic episode, people who are calling the NK execution disappointing are forgetting Cersei and Kings Landing will be a challenge. She is a true King as she is ruthless and cunning. Don’t underestimate her.

Well, let me defend the showrunners if there is even anything to defend. I feel because of budgetary constraints, they had to do with just one. There were so many creatures that were supposed to appear on screen e.g ice spiders etc but because of their budget that had to just stick with what you saw on TV.

Also no armour is ever perfect? I recall a scene out of Dark Knight when Bruce Wayne was speaking with Lucius Fox about the armour for the next suit. An armour requires flexibility and ease of movement however these points will make the wearer vulnerable. Ever heard of chink in an armour? Well the Night King had one so easily penetrated from close ranged weapon .

Well, that is kind of the point. Up until hardhome, Valyrian steel was nothing more than rare resource from an extinct city. It was at hardhome where we saw it could break whitewalker ice swords.

Prior to that, Valyrian steel wasn't piercing or breaking other steel artefacts like that.

Case in point, Jamie Lannister fighting Ned Stark in season 1. Only Ned had a Valyrian steel sword in that battle, and it was not shown to have any other special abilities when used against other metals.

NK possibly has some metal workers in his retinue - it might explain where the chains came from, and how the previously shirtless whitewalker goons rolled up to winterfell clad in armour.

If he could come back, maybe he should do what you said up there, and get a refund
