If you choose to come in for your MRes.... Plan to write Australian Bar exams immediately. Solicitor is on the skilled list. You can also go to New Zealand to write it, if that's more flexible for you when you are here. You can get the PR before you finish your MRes as a Solicitor.

hmm. Thanks for this insight. I never thought of this.

Your previous visa denial to other countries can not hinder the success of your visa application because every application is treated on its own merit but make sure you don't conceal it. Your being open will help you better. Just package a good application and you are good to go. I wish you all the best.

Please elders in the house, I need your advice.
I'm applying for masters degree programme by research. I have found a supervisor who has agreed to supervise my thesis and i'm hoping to get scholarship.

Beyond the studies, I desire PR as I really want my kids (3 of them) to live and school in Australia. I am a lawyer here in Nigeria and the proposed masters is also in law. I plan to do phd after the masters. From my findings, I don't think law is on the Australian skills list. However, my husband has Hnd elect/elect and Bsc computer science. He has worked mainly in IT (system support and IT Audit/control). He is willing to go with me.

If we go together, what do we need to do to increase our chances of
getting PR? I really need your advice.

Kindly assist, I sent you a mail

Dearest family,

I have a scholarship of ($30,000) With a multinational here in Nigeria, but they are insisting I shd arrived WSU before payments will be made to WSU, and the balance will be paid for my tuition fee to complete the one year fee, then what I paid previously will be reimbursed to me.

However, I have been able to send about $3,000, already. Right now I don't have about aus13,258(#3.428M) to complete the fee and get my coe to apply for my visa, my resumption date is 19th July.
Am willing to pay back with interest to anyone that can helped me complete this fee, from the money my sponsor organization is paying me immediately I send my Australian banking details to them. Also my number is
+234 (0)7056109836.
If am given this help, i will remain grateful and indebted to the individual.
Am willing to send proof of my offer letter from WSU (western Sydney university) and my scholarship award letter for my helper to see.
I have tried several banks, but they refused given me loan even with a collateral
Thanks FAM

Why not explain the COE part to your funding body. Tell them they will be refunded if you do not eventually go. You can back it up legally or something. It's unlikely someone will give you that help here. You have funding, tell them the terms and conditions of foreign University admissions.

hmm. Thanks for this insight. I never thought of this.

However it is not so easy neither cheap. It can cost about 8,000AUD to write in New Zealand and double in Australia.

See if you can be patient enough to work out your husband's PR.

Thanks for the concern.

I have done the explanation part, but they are still insisting I go first because most person that was given cash before arrival or payments made before hand abscond with the cash.

Am totally confused , don't know what else to do

How possible is it to get a funded offer(full or partial)for Masters programme in Australia and which Schools can offer this

I tried applying to some schools and was directed to use an agent,i went to AMS Bridge blue and was asked to present SOA of 15m,this came to me as a shocker

PS:I thought SOA is needed only at the embassy

Please if I understand you correctly, all you need to do is to give your sponsor the school details to credit or do a transfer to them indicating your details without passing the funds through you to clear their doubts and fear.

@faraday1...I have done that, send all the SCH details to them, but they are requesting that my SCH should send them my previous payment invoices, indicating my pay and the balance, but the sch is delaying in sending such, saying such is usually send after de first session,

However my sponsor's are still insisting that its there standard ,till I get there, that's when they will refund me what I have paid to my Australian banking account

That's just like Nigeria's living allowance scholarship. You must have your money before you say you want to travel abroad. If not na for street you go dey sleep. The difference is they sign an agreement with the school not to bother you.

Bro, you will have to look for the money, but certainly not from here. That's unrealistic.

Sure!! Thanks anyways brotherly,
Was only wishing someone who has such savings can risk it for me, considering the interest I will pay and the collateral am willing to give in exchange to allude any fear of absconding... Collateral is in phc

Go on to Uni Melbourne website. Go to your department/college/institute, find professors/academic in your research area, be sure their research focus aligns with what you may be keen on.

Write a compelling letter relating your past academics/research and your future interests to what they are doing. Write a short cover email and attach the well addressed letter and send to as many as you can.

Cheers

Over and over again it has been established here that you stand a slim to no chance when you seek education that is below your current degree.

MSc in your case is what you can anticipate a visa grant for.

Hello! Good Morning House, I got an offer letter to study at University of Tasmania but I had overall 6.0 in my Ielts. LSRW- 6.0, 6.0, 5.0 and 6.0. While their requirement is overall 6.0 and 6.0 in each band score. My question is, can I provide an English proficiency from the school I passed my first Degree to meet the admission requirements. God will definitely see us through

Firstly, is your offer a conditional offer for English? Secondly, you can only provide a recognized result of English proficiency test.

It's actually a conditional over. But I have a coursemate who is currently schooling at University of Tasmania (Masters), he used the school proof of English proficiency to get admission as well as his Study Visa Grant. Happy new month to you

Well, reach out to the school and see what they say. It's safer to use a recognized English prociency test during visa application because your case officer might not accept anything else.
