Guy na so I carry one elderly man and two babes last Saturday, after arriving the pick up point, mans told me my car is dirty and they ended up leaving it lot dirtier, spilled drinks on the floor, cans everywhere and shwarma wraps. Smh. One star wasn't enough

No be there fault, if you meet well kept riders they respect the driver and his car. Even if their children wants to misbehave they will caution them and remind them it's not their car. So will even park their trash at their destination or politely beg you to help them trash it.

Hi guys, hope you're enjoying your holiday, yesterday started out well but ended in a funny way, I'll like to hear from you guys.

So I picked a lady from access bank close to shoprite at the palms, she was going to magodo shangisha, traffic was very bad yesterday, while we were struggling with the third mainland traffic, should saw her colleague driving beside us and she said I should park and end the trip.

Me: sorry ma, I can't end the trip here, it's not a convenient place for me.

Rider: raising her voice.. What's the meaning of this, you mean I should continue and waste my money when I can join my friend. She made move to open the door, I just quietly cleared to the right and the colleague was right behind us.

My plan was to continue to her destination and end it when I get there but as soon as she got down she ended it from her end, which is one thing I dislike about uber allowing riders end trip on their own.

I was very mad because I spent almost 2hrs to get to the mainland when I could have just remained on the island and do short trips. I complained to uber and they said rider has the right to end trip if they feel uncomfortable, I was like, una de mad, who is talking about rider being uncomfortable here. Seriously it's very annoying.

Hahaha me too.
I was at iponri from Marina.(mad traffic on d other side going to cms/vI
Request came.
Me: Hello sir where are you going?
Rider: 1004 Estate
Me: There is hold up, Apogbon to VI is blocked unless we take 3rd mainland.
Rider: come np
Picked rider only for him to say no let's take Eko bridge like dt it's free.
Me: I'm just coming from island it's blocked
Rider: hmmm
Me: okay
turned to Eko bridge road was free till apogbon bridge and stand still.
Rider: checked google map and screamed 1hr30min to 1004 no ooh it's too long I want to come down and take bike
Me : no sir u can't come down, I told u b4 d trip u asked me to take Eko bridge instead of TMB
Rider: I'm sorry it's too long, pls Let me get down
Me: oga no way sir we going together
Rider: dragging with door
Me: central lock I no gree
Rider: Shouting end trip I want to come down like say I don kidnap am.
Me: no talk again. End trip and show him fare
He paid and got down.
Thank God I could turned back to costain from apongbon under bridge.
Pls Elders in d house what should I do next time, no go at all from beginning?

Seriously it's just crazy, a rider will push you inside traffic and then jump out of your vehicle. Something needs to be done abt it.

I called the rider to notify her then she just ended the trip.

I think you need to respect people's opinion, yes civic is a good brand, strong and reliable for this job, if people prefer to use corolla, then so be it... Everyone gat their preference.

No matter how much you preach and tell them, nay very few go hear.. The rest na one road and road one only to corolla . ..if I didn't know any better, I go think Toyota use Jazz on them.. Anybody that is using tokunbo corolla at this stage of the business, needs prayers and difference... may God help them

Rider is free to leave at anytime provided you're not in a tow-zone. You can't hold anyone against their will, you're lucky you guys didn't come to blows over the issue. Same thing with the other guy whose fare came down on third mainland bridgecheesy

It is up to uber to make compensatory adjustments for drivers in view of the terrible Lagos traffic/road situation, but they have absolutely refused. The fares are too low, moreso the influx of thousands of 'private' uber cars roaming about Lagos has actually compounded the traffic problem. Mass transit is the urban planning solution to traffic congestion in megacities like Lagos, not cab services like uber. I wonder how long it will take Alausa to realise that uber and taxify need to be regulated better than this. . .

Talking from experience and experience only.... I had three Honda civics ,just sold 1 few weeks ago 03 .. The rest is 04 and 03 .. All bought tokunbo.. Very solid cars and strong and good on fuel..... Civics from 03 to 05 ,is what I know and what I recommend.. I can't recommend something that I have not used.... And landing cost for those cars should be around 1.2 to 1.3m .... If you can a tokunbo from the start, maintain it well, good oil coolant etc .. And the resale value of that car is not bad. I sold mine last than two weeks when it was advertised..
Thanks so much

You guys should not hold roders against their wish oo. Immediately a rider requests you end a trip it is mandatory to end it asap. Even though we live in a lawless society, it is not all riders that is oblivious of their rights.
Thats one of the slides of the business.

That brings me to the next question

You take a rider to Lekki for example
You pay the #200 toll....

When you end the trip, you see #2000 including toll

Why should your earnings be #2000 instead of #1800..?.

Your earning is not 2000 neither is 1800. Its actually 1500. Taxify do remove commission from the toll also.

I am getting more card trips than cash, out of about 9 daily trips, at least 7 would be card. Even more request coming in on Bolt than Uber.
I noticed that most Uber riders have migrated permanently to Bolt.

Wtf are you saying? How did I misbehave? So a rider asked you to park and you just park in the middle of third mainland with vehicles on both sides? You just comment without using your head.

Animals are just better than some people, picked this couple at the airport. The messed my car real bad, ate chips and chicken from TFC I don't know what it's called. They started eating as soon as we left airport, they pushed the footmat and the small rug under the foot mat under the car seat don't know if it was on purpose and every kind of particles was just on the floor. Had it been they allowed all the mess to be on the foot mat it would be bearable, my car was just like a garbage bin. I managed to trash the whole nonsense and couldn't clean the rug, had to use the foot mat to cover it.
I would have reported to Uber at least the will be debited for car wash but I remember I used saka when they were delaying me and making several Yeye stops.
