Thanks a lot, mama. I've read the advice and will see about moving forward from here. Yes, I'm interested in the online marketing stuff, although I already know some things about it as that's my Hubby's field, but I could still learn a great deal.

Please lemme know how I can contact you. God bless and enlarge you.
Oh great then! We can still learn from each other. Knowledge never ends

My BS

Started having contractions on Sunday night (29th), just chilled that it was braxton hicks. Around midnight had to tell hubby that I'm having contractions, but let's wait and see since they might be fake. I was literally not ready for baby to arrive. Was still hoping baby will wait till saturday 4th May as that date is significant to me.

Around 2am, contractions woke me up. At that point I knew it wasn't braxton hicks it had to be the real deal. Panicked a bit at this point as I was SIMPLY NOT READY. What if active labour commenced fast? I just sha kept faith, hoping that the baby will wait till Tuesday. I kept consoling myself with stories I'd heard of people that were in labour for one or two days before baby was ready to come.

I woke up very early on Monday morning and woke hubby up. I'm sure you're wondering why i keep saying i wasn't ready? I had not done my shopping. One single pin I had not yet bought for this baby. I only had some little things left over from my baby of three years ago, then the local things like coconut oil and palm kernel oil. I had lots of diapers and some clothes from baby shower but not even a single pad talkless of packing hospital bag.

One delay led to another and contractions became more regular but we still could not go shopping until around noon. We went to a supermarket where I knew they had almost everything (I had been doing online spying all this while na just to go shop itself be the issue). With great speed I picked up almost everything on my baby list, i only left some non-essential items that I had seen cheaper online that I can buy those ones from my hospital bed.

We had to do some more non-related shopping, but finally we got home. We were supposed to go elsewhere for another type of shopping, but at this point I blankly told hubby that baby is coming i need to sort stuff and pack my hospital bag. Contractions were coming at less than ten minutes apart.

Hubby went to inform the rest of the household that I'm in labour and we'll need to go to the hospital. The next dilemma started as the hospital was quite far - about 40 minutes from the house. Someone had to be at the airport at 7pm, so I had to go to hospital either one hour plus before 7pm, or one hour plus after 7pm. If I go to hospital too early, they will send me back. If i go too late, I fit born for road. I was a bit worried that baby was almost here since I had been in labour for so long already.

Thank God a friend who came visiting happened to be going in hospital direction so that problem was solved as she said she'll drop me.

Na so hubby and I take waka. Ride to the hospital was something else, apart from the pain (contractions 5 minutes apart) I was so worried and scared. I no wan born for road o!

We got to hospital, I was checked: 5cm. Straight to labour room. I chose to try the gas since I didn't want epidural but e be like say that gas na scam, the thing no give me any relief. Just helped me to vomit all the food I had eaten since afternoon and the vomiting made me weak. As the pain kept increasing I kept using it sha o, just to make my situation feel less helpless.

Hubby sat there rubbing my waist whenever contractions came. Finally, at around ten pm, it was all too much for me to bear. Crazy back to back contractions laik this. Na so I call nurse o, say e be like say I'm ready to push o.

Doctor came and checked, and praise God I was fully dilated. Oya push. After all the gymnastics of the day and all the vomiting, your homegirl had no energy to push. One time I tried. Two time I tried. By three time I told hubby that I'm too weak, I can't do it.

The entire everybody in the place started telling me I can do it lol. I no even dey hear them. It wasn't until hubby told me that i should just try, baby is almost here, he can see the head. Na only that voice I hear o. And I took courage and pushed my cutey-pie out.

They gave me an injection at the point I was pushing out, that it will help with placenta and bleeding. Almost immediately after baby placenta just slipped out. I barely felt anything. Doctor checked me out to be sure there was no tear. To my greatest joy, there was none.

Baby was put on my chest and I was allowed to rest a bit. My brethren, what happened after this is all a blur for me. I was kind of on another planet and can't remember much of what happened until the next day. But I know that I went to the bathroom, showered, then was taken to postpartum. I don't even know exactly when all this happened.

Women are superhuman creatures aswear. Don't ever allow anybody that can barely manage to push strong poo-poo out tell you that you're a weaker vessel. Those who undergo surgery - including stitching for tear are even stronger. I know how much easier my recovery is this time compared to when i had tear last time. Mommies and soon to be mommies: you are all super heros.

We were kept at the hospital for 3 days because baby was preterm - he came 2 hours before 37 weeks.

In everything we give glory to God. Happy BFPing, happy bumping/waddling, happy borning/parenting to everyone. God bless us all.

Cappo sunbestie: I'm sure you're in the favour room at the moment
borrowed cappo Jina24: in the vigilante room

Una good evening o. Pls i would like to know from experience mamas how long it takes stitches to totally heal.

I was stitched after d birth of my lo n its almost three weeks now i still have some thread down there. Though no longer painful but i can feel n touch this particular thread that's very hard n i begin to wonder when it will fall off. Pls o i need answer o

Sorry pls if i didn't use medical terms o
Anywhere from 2-6 weeks is normal. As long as the stitches are still intact, just ignore it, they would finally dissolve or fall. Stop touching it, you can just look with mirror.

Hi Mummies,
It's my first time here, a ftm, 20 weeks gone
Team September 29th , am not even sure cause the last scan the doctor said 19th Sept. And he said he doesn't tell the sex of the baby. I am.not even sure I know what a baby kick is or have felt it. I sometimes feel a little movement and see a lump around my belly button that goes disappears after some time that was around 18, 19 weeks. This week I don't think have felt a thing. I just pray and believe all is well with my baby.

Also, please can anyone recommend good private and general hospitals around Sangotedo. I have read a lot and learnt on this thread. I pray God sees us through this journey....Thank you.

Godmother:
My fellow mothers and mothers-to-be I need a little advice as I'm as confused as they come. I currently teach in a secondary school and earn a small pay. The workload is a bit much as I take three subjects.

On the other hand, I make children clothes and sometimes get a lot of orders. I currently have orders to make 23 clothes from different clients. However, most of these customers owe a lot.

Right now I combine both; sew when I get back home by 5pm and the stress is really much. My customers are complaining as I can't meet up. Some even came to collect back their fabrics. Now I'm thinking of leaving the teaching for the sewing but I'm a little scared. What if I don't get that constant flow of money (even though its little) like I do now when I leave.

I don't want to lose all my customers, but I'm just paralyzed by fear. My hubby is in support of me leaving to face my business, though.

Please all, your advice and suggestions on how to boost sale will be greatly appreciated.

I make all kinds children clothes, adult clothes, wedding gowns, beddings and interiors

Build your business, with consistency any hardwork your business will grow and in few years to come you will be glad you left working for another dream while earning peanut.

Sorry I haven't been there. But I once visited FMC Jabi and was referred to FMC gwarimpa cos of distance. The consultant at Jabi said the gwarimpa branch was very good, but I don't know if FMC gwarimpa and gwarimpa GH are the same
