@op . Please don’t call the embassy . Your bro did something which every government frowns at. THE RULE IS “ IF YOU MUST BE IN A COUNTRY, DONT DO LOCAL” government d frown for local work and the thing casts so quick. I understand how you feel. I had immigration case with Kenya sometime last year and it wasn’t funny. The little time I spent in their jail was a big lesson for me despite that my papers where complete and with my residency permit in another bigger country.

Please don’t call anyone , pray if you believe in prayers . Go to Dibia or anything that you believe in. But allow your brother to handle the issue internal.

Stay with your parents, give them hope and be a man. Your brother will face the outcome of his action. I believe he knew that LOCAL work is not something a wise streetman goes into. But he went in because of the HIGH PERCENTAGE grin. So no worry.

He will maybe serve his terms and will be in Lagos/Abuja airport soon. Just stay focused and wait for his calls because he is making plans to call home soon. I can bet on that!

And for all of you claiming “holy holy” ; if you swear that you have not and never eaten yahoo money directly or indirectly;Thunder will fire you.

You spoke like a brother.

Thanks a lot for those words.

I will remain strong and encourage my fam.

Quick question, was your brother incacerated over a crime he actually committed?
Are you saying that prayer allows someone that committed a crime to go free?

He didn't commit the offence but was black mailed by a friend who called the police and alerted them.

I don't think your senses are intact, if they are you would know that I'm not just commenting but I've read what's going on, especially as someone has even named his brother and mentioned the crime committed. If your aspiration is to do likewise don't come here and post for help, you better read and learn instead of challenging wisdom.

My brother first of all I want to console you on your odeal
It hurts because I know my junior brother faced the same fate like two years ago but not in China

All you need to do now is to reach out to Nigerian Embassy in China put a call to them or email them. If you have anyone in the ministry of foreign affairs he or she can help you out too.

Secondary Prayer: Prayer works, when my brother was incarcerated he was charged to court and their offence was 10 years imprisonment but my mother have to embark on a one week long fasting and prayer and on the day she ended that fasting my brother called that he has been released. Just like that, he said on the day of their final judgement the judge that was handling cased looked at then for a while and ordered for their release. So you can see prayer is the key to any problem.

Don't worry Your brother will come out and meet all of you his loved ones.

Kaba! Nothing on earth is worth more than a woman that prays. she can pray her children to the top. I duff my Hat for your Mum. Send her my regards anyway.

You are talking about scammers and at the same time encouraging the op to contact someone who claimed to know somebody in China who will help? Are you not contradicting yourself?

@Op i sympathize with you and the situation of your brother.

My advice is to first of all learn the Madarin language, get acquanuted with their legal system. You mught want to study law in my opinion.

Assuming you cannot afford to study law, then go on to employ the services of a local advocate.

I prefer realism to wishful thinking.

To better help your brothers situation, one of you is going to have to learn the Madarin language and get acquainted with their legal system. Try your best to keep in touch with him at all times. Let him know that you and your folks love him and will always be there.

Always tell things with assuring words, i.e I can assure you...

You mught want to study law in my opinion.

Assuming you cannot afford to study law, then go on to employ the services of a local advocate. Don't underestimate legal assistance.

Be careful here on nairaland people might want to extort you since you are in a sad state.

Dont pay for anything, they can tell you they have access , lawyer etc...dont feeaking give out a dime or answer anybody cos “Nigerians are naturally wicked.”

My own time my brother said if you dont hear from me dont worry know i am alive, if anyone call you dont pay dime, only when you pay is when i tell them our password, which is when did mum die November 16th 2005, if you get that information plus your son name is Jayden then know the caller is from me anything else dont pay dime, allow them kill me if they want.

So be strong, wait for him to call pls and pray more,God will do it.

I am praying with you,My God who did it for me will make it even easier for your family.whereever he is the hand of God will be with him.love you.

Nigerians are naturally wicked.” You’re so right, we’re completely evil that’s why I really don’t blame others for the hate they have. Just don’t show any little weakness they will use that to bleed you dry and even advice you to go sell your things. Don’t send anything to anyone until you can verify some fact about him

My dear i am sorry for what you and your family are passing through but trust me it will be alright even though it may take a long while.

My family encountered similar issue even worse, we are two in our family just myself and kid brother.

He travelled out six years ago to Brazil while i got married three years ago.I have long lost my mum so it was just me and my dad.

My husband did my bride price and i got pregnant he said he wanted to travel out and will be back soon.

My dear i was two months pregnant living with my father when i was told my husband had been arrsted for drug offence i didnt hear from him again.

I went into depression, pregnancy, cashlessness and a father to take care of, i called my brother and cried my heart out he was pushed to redeem the family out pf poverty and frustration.

My dear that is how he carried drugs from brazil swallowed it and almost died and headed to South Africa enroute to Nigeria.

Himself and four of his friends left for that journey, i never knew he entered drugs just to raise money and help us as i was already nine months, frustrated with a father to feed.

My dear this is true life story, immediately he moved he called me his coming to Nigeria i was happy praying never knowing what laid ahead.

Two days later he called that himself and his four friends have been arrested in South Africa with drugs,Jesus i ran madddddd......i entered labour self immediately from the tears and frustration.

Thats how i birthed with tears and it was God all through, i told my dad about what happened and the man almost died.Few weeks later he called saying he needed 500,000 for lawyer else he stands a risk of being imprisoned for fifteen years chai.

Me wey never see 1000, well i cried and taught i would die, i cried ooo, my heart broke, i birthed a boy but sadness all over.My baby father made no contact for three years my dear.

I eventually got up, prayed and asked God to save me.I had stitches after child birth and was told to stay on bed rest for a while but i couldnt with all my problem.

Immediately i got home i dropped the baby with a neighbor and hit the street going to every of my uncle asking for help to raise lawyer money for my brother, my dear they all failed. They even mocked us that he shpuld test prison and see is not easy who told him to carry drugs.

My father was there asking me daily to talk to his son or he would die, chai.

I later had to give myself brain and spoke to my brother, he sounded strong initially telling me to be strong for him to take care of the family, that his friends have been sentenced to ten years and his thế last awaiting judgement i should just believe is ten or twelve yeats i should hold on throughout and kiss my baby for him.

I swear as am typing am even crying but am trying to tell u a real story to encourage you.I went to hustle by calling all my contacts that am into books selling, luckily for me, a lecturer friend gave me contract to stock school libray, i did that with the pain and stitches in my body after childbirth but i was determined to raise that lawyer money.

I did that and after that i made 150,000 from it.i quickly sent it to him asking him to deposit for lawyer, next i started going to island to look for things to resell, infact God was with me, within two months i raised another 70,000 and forwarded to him.Mind you all the people he knew failed him no support at all.

After i had sent the 220k in total, the lawyer came in and fought for him, told the court he had a job in Brazil which is true although the pay was small but he was pushed after his sister went into labour and the pressure from home was much etc, also his a firat time offender and his enroute Nigeria and not SA, sth like that sha. i was told to produce a lot of document thats how i kept running up and down like a mad woman, i slimed down to brown stick, people who came to greét me for the birth of my baby kept asking are you ok,chai i suffered.

I didnt even have time for myself or the baby, i kept sending him money to buy a phone there so we could communicate with him, if he buys this week nextweek they will seize it, upper week i send and they seize he buy again they seize infact it was a life time challenge i cannot forget.

After five months of awaiting trial he was sentenced to four years, to serve two years and two is suspended, chai i did it, all alone.Jehova be praised.I encouraged my dad all though telling him to be strong but in my room i cried. My father lived through it cos i stood like a lion and never gave up.

To the glory of God he started his sentence after he had wasted six months awaitig trial which was cancelled as it wasnt counted. He started serving and i kept praying, at some point we couldnt communicate but i had hope is not over he is alive he will be back someday.

To the glorify of God, he came back this year february 2019, instead of being deported to make matters worse for us here in naija,a Sputh African woman helped him to cross over and he was allowed to enter Nigeria after he had finished serving.

He came back looking so good against my initial thought of him looking sick and out.i cried and was mad with excitemnet. My father laid down on the sand and rolled to God thanking him, only son chai.we suffered, but is over.

Guess what three years down,my husband suddenly appeared released after been incommunicado for three years his son is a fine healthy boy of three years, finally is over.

Why did i write u long epistle is to tell you that people have seen it, have hope and faith for God is alive.

He isnt dead, chinese prisons dont give easy access to cellphone to call but know that one day he will call.

Be strong for your parents, dont be weak, encourage them, tell them is ok, that his fine. Tel tham that his friend said his ok, because sad news can kill them due to old age.Just tell them his ok but cant communicate.

Nobody can go there to see him, security is tight, my brother case nobody could, hmmmmm na drug oooo who go go?

Be prayerful, go to God and tell him to help ur family, do you know how i raised all that money i dont know, i havent even touched such fund in my life but when challenge came my determination pushed me to save my brother. He was the only one in his clique that got the easiest sentebce in a good cell.

So dont loose hope, his not dead, yes you hear stories that jail is tough thats true but it wont kill him it will only make him tougher thats the truth so dont worry he will be back one day,it may take long but he will.Stay strong, dont give up.

If you want to start contacting embassy, honestly naija is sth else the process will drain you emotionally, financially and yet you may not achieve any tangible result because he didnt go on student visa.

DONT GIVE UP, STAY STRONG, HE WILL COMMUNICATE SOON.BE STRONG FOR YOUR PARENTS ok.May God make it easy for you in jeaus name.Amen.

What a touching story, you are a strong woman and God bless you for helping him out. God will bless and protect your family.

I have been living in Brazil for the past 3 years now and I know very what you went through and the stories behind this... I hear of many people in jail (South Africa, Turkey, and Morocco) through this struggles. That's why I do tell people, Brazil is no way better than Nigeria, it is just like a ladder to reach your dream country in the future, don't come to Brazil for greener pastures, don't try it because you will end up doing illegal things that can put you in trouble.

If you have a work, a roof over you in Nigeria even if you earn as low as 70k my brother don't take that Brazil link because it will take you to depression after you arrive there.

I did a legit job and I am okay with my salary as long as I am fine, feed my family and save a little... No rush, life is a gradual process. If you keep a good name and nice record you will enjoy Brazil because it's one of the easiest country to Naturalize and with their passport you can fly to all countries in Europe, some countries in Asia and New Zealand without visa so why rush than to just wait for your time. Get a registered work, get the RNE and Naturalize, by the grace of God you will get their passport in 3 - 5yrs and move to a better country.

I have heard a lot of bad stories about Asian, and Arabs how the Human Rights is not strong or no Human Rights at all but here in Brazil our human right is 100% active so if your name is clean you will get a lot of benefits from the country and if you can't wait go back home simple but our brothers will engage their selves in bad stuffs.

God bless our hustles.

Nigeria will be great again In shaa Allah

Why do our boys in GZ all cluster in one small town? I think China is quite a big place and loads of opportunity.

I was told many 9ja boys in GZ are quite the uneducated bunch, is it true?

Do 9ja boys in GZ attract a lot hate from authority and locals? What's the reason?

As of 2001 - 2007, representative visa was quite easy. Is that still the case?

Hi Adigu,

Our guys are always in a hurry to make money, why is that the case? Since it takes 3-5yr to naturalize, why don't they relax, get a lean job, work up the ladder, and then jet out to a better country after 5 yrs or so.

I know of guys in costa. They say residence is easy there, I believe that the case in BR.

Generally, have our boys gained notoriety overthere? Or the bunch in BR are the good breeds from 9ja?

Bro only God knows why they are in haste, I guess they have people to impress at home because with the basic salary and work benefits you should be able to survive

You all came to a country that doesn't speak English, just Portuguese, and you don't take your time to learn the language, validate your credentials and get a better job but we all just want to make it fast and don't want to follow the process. It's just like an ordinary Niger man travel to Nigeria to work in a bank, Oga Na for gate you go dey

I know a Nigerian lawyer that earns 600k plus a month in Brazil and he has been there for over 10yrs.

It is turn by turn and our turn will surely come.

Hello, bro. I trust you're well.
Nigerians, like other business oriented foreign nationals choose to reside in Guangzhou for a couple of reasons. First off, Guangzhou is one of China's biggest, diverse and most vibrant commercial hubs. There's hardly any products or items one won't find in Guangzhou. Secondly, Guangzhou lies on the international shipping route, so shipping goods and products from there to overseas is quite convenient. Thirdly, to a large extent, Guangzhou is a multicultural city so foreigners tend to feel more at home there than they would feel in some other parts of China. Fourth, the weather in Guangzhou is great! It's pretty much hot there until winter when the temperature drops to highs of about 15°C to lows of about 10°C. Fifth, because of the strategic location of Guangzhou, connecting from it to other cities in and around the Pearl River Delta is very convenient. Going from Guangzhou to Dongguan ( a city with lots of factories ) takes about an hour by intercity bus. May I add there are lots of African restaurants, clothing stores and a number of hair shops in Guangzhou. So with such a mix, you can be sure there would be lots of Africans in GZ - Guangzhou.

With regards to your second question. In all honesty, I don't know if there are many uneducated Nigerians in Guangzhou because I've not interacted with all of them in order to draw any empirical conclusion on the number of uneducated Nigerians there. However, I must say I've met on a number of occasions well spoken, well mannered Nigerians in Guangzhou. Let me quickly add that being educated isn't necessarily about one attending an institution of learning, rather it is about how one carries oneself, and the overall positive demeanour an individual exhibits.

Do Nigerians attract hate from the authorities? In a way, YES! The reason is simple: Most serious crimes committed by foreigners in Guangzhou are committed by Nigerians. Do all police officers in Guangzhou dislike Nigerians? No! One time I go send goods from Guangzhou to 9ja, eke call one of the guys for the warehouse wey I go send good to info am say make he tell all him guys wey no get paper to remove cos at 4 p.m eke go work for that warehouse area. True, true by a few minutes to 4 pm eke show to come check paper but many guys don already remove. The eke must have liked the 9ja guys there to have warned them of the impending raid. Do the locals hate Nigerians? I think it's a love -hate-fear kind of thing. Some love Nigerians because they've become well-off from doing legitimate businesses with Nigerians. While some hate Nigerians because of the unsavoury tales they've heard about Nigerians. And some fear Nigerians because they believe Nigerias are untrustworthy.

Getting any class of Chinese visa in Nigeria has become more difficult now than before. And I think the trend is probably as a result of our not-so-great reputation in China. Do Nigerians still get visas to China? Hell, Yes! Get all your documents (genuine ), throw in some prayers ( if you believe in the power of praying) and go drop your documents at the Chinese embassy.

I believe I've tried my best to answer all your questions. Excuse the typographical / grammar errors. All the best to you, bro.
