Mahmood who was represented by the electoral commission’s National Commissioner and Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, Festus Okoye, stated a new legal framework must be put in place in order to address the irregularities being witnessed in the nation’s electoral process. The INEC Chairman who maintained that Nigeria's electoral law is problematic, stated that the current legal framework creates uncertainty and undermines the people’s confidence.

Says a Professor of history, the truth is that puting such sensitize commission in the hands of an historian is similar to putting a country in the hands of a zoology PhD holder.

The lawmakers specifically engineered all our laws to have a loophole that favours them, and only a really really smart guy could handle them, if not its would be inconclusive after inconclusive.

Mr Professor, you are the problem not any electoral law.

Your partisanship is the reason why you find problem in our electoral laws. You came in with inconclusive of election and that has been the order till date.

Permit me to say you are a BIG LIAR and hypocrite Sir. You are the twin brother of your employer and Nigeria's biggest mistake (Buhari) whose interest supercedes national interest, before you.

I can only reason that you are one of the educated illiterates who denigrate other people's fields or professions.

A half intelligent person even knows that any BSc graduate with COMPLETE education and work/life experience can become Nigeria's president or INEC Chairman. How much more a PhD holder in any discipline or conventional universities.

Besides, how many presidents of nations have PhDs and when has that become a criterion for good governance?

Of a truth, some educated folks are a waste of academic and financial resources.

Well, He could be the change we crave by simply accepting he fact that he aided the incumbent in the previous election.

It starts with accepting the obvious, therefore giving the system credibility.

. it is the review of electoral laws and acts by the PDP to satisfy their interest that is creating problems in Nigeria. In the past Election cases ended in Appeal court. Now it is Supreme court. Also tribunal could deduct votes and declare winner but the section 242 of the act forbids tribunal to do so again.......

Of a truth, some educated folks are a waste of academic and financial resources.

first off , there is nothing like educated illetrate, been Educated formally often requires literacy(ability to read and write) am very certain many fools like your self thinks literacy is some substitute for been a scholar, but you missed it, as even an almajiri that can read and write in Arabic is literate.

that been said, educational requirement for such post according to Abacha/Abdulsalami's constituition is O level school leavers certificate regardless of its grade whether f9 or d7, and we can see how that underdeveloped the nation.

a bsc holder in any field in the US that wants to go for the congress most likely would take a diploma in law or public governace.

Ambode did his governace coarse at Havard, el rufai in United Nations University and Sanwo - olu is currently in havard. even Dino melaye just had his masters in field suitable for governance.

but i guess you are to slow to understand the famous line of square peg , in square hole and round peg in round hole.

Even in business and Corporate Governace, most CEO goes back to Havard Business school for refresher coarses on management and business

My advice is that only persons that are educated to at least primary 6 certificate or WAEC should be allowed to vote instead of the majority illiterates choosing who will be our leaders.
Imagine when the illiterate who are majority in number determining who will be our leaders.
Maybe the law will also help to make our northern brothers and sisters go to school.
Just my humble advice

Saraki and some good heads came together to put what would have given us a chance on good electoral law reforms. But the zombies feared that their master will be the first victim of a credible system kicked against it.
