Prehill23, If you're looking for a school that waives application fees, I'm assuming you don't have enough money - I could be wrong about this - but if limited funds is your reason for this, then University of British Columbia isn't the school for you, because there fees can be pretty high. Unless you have a very strong transcript that would get you a full scholarship. That being said, Google is your friend. Check for those types of schools there. Good luck. Okoriekwe: |

prehill23:I think you should check University of British Columbia(UBC). I think also their fees is also considerate for certain courses, and a nice province to reside too. The institution waives application fees for international students from third world countries. |

What’s your details ? What day did you apply and what date did you get biometrics correspondence letter ? olaola17: olaola17: |

olaola17:I guess you must have seen emphasis rendered to some already refused applications with similar reasons as yours. There wouldn't be need deliberating over it all again, as the reasons are generic but circumstances of the refusal might varies. Do well to request for your gcms notes, and the knowledgeable people here could help you with guidelines. Best of luck! |

Good morning All. Please help! Below is the mail i received regarding my study permit last last night. Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your temporary resident visa application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your travel history. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee Do i first request a GCMS note for further clarity and what else can i do because i am willing to re-apply. School resumes September 3rd. I currently work as an administrator in my current employment and i got admitted to study public administration at the University of Regina, earlier i had a conditional admission stating until i send my official transcript before i can register for courses, but now i have fulfilled that and i have received a non-conditional admission letter. I also used a guardian as my sponsor who had about cnd 46,000+ equivalent in his account. My tuition is about cnd 20,000+. Please i need help so i can address their concerns in a right way. Thank you all and congratulations to all that have gotten their approval. |

What date did you apply? What date did you get biometrics correspondence mail? And what day were you refused ? And the funds in your sponsors account is too low considering the fact that he has other dependents olaola17: |

Good day everyone, I need your advice. I applied sometime last year and was refused based on financial status. Someone later advised me that using a third party sponsor, that I should've ensured the sponsor makes some deposit towards my school fees before applying, which my sponsor would've done comfortably if I had told him. My problem now is that he has not been in the country for a while now and I have tried reaching him but unsuccessful. So, my brother decided to sponsor me. My tuition for my program (MEng) is about 5.2M. If he gives me 6.2M now, 3.2M for tuition deposit and 3M for living expenses in the first year, while the balance will be paid subsequently as he makes enough annually to cover the rest. Also, I'll use my mom as co-sponsor with 4M she kept separately in a savings account not his salary account, in case my brother experiences any difficulty in paying the remaining tuition fee. What are my chances and what do you think especially about changing sponsor? Also, both my brother and my mom have no dependants to care for and there are other non liquid assets I plan on attaching as source of finance like lands and so on. |

It's worrying that 5 applicants I know got rejected based on the same reasons. Even the ones with funds and travel history. ●travel history ●Personal funds and asset ● Purpose of Visit Something isn't right about this. To think they all got their biometric validity correspondence the same day is also confusing. Or can someone explain how a mature applicant that recently travelled to usa with his family got refused for the reasons I stated above travel history included Or how another that traveled to Canada earlier this year on vacation got refused on travel history! !!! And the other two reasons I stated. This is a Man with a fledging career travels for fun and they even ticked personal asset and finance. |

Thanks for the response. We have disturbed the registrar and they keep saying they don’t know what to do, is there any governing body we can escalate this to ? chibertha: |

sillysassysally:Wow! This is very impressive Sally. The express study permit is well-deserved. I'm now more motivated to package an exceptional application like yours. Thanks for all the tips and prayer. Please would you have chance to help me take a look at my SOP? I understand you will be busy with your travel preparations, but please even if it is to quickly scan through it to see if I'm on track, I will sincerely appreciate. Thank you. |

Desmondola2020:Thank you. My sponsor is an elderly man who has his own business and his last born is married and lives in the US, he is a guardian and doesn't have plenty responsibilities in that sense as he just accumulates funds. So do i need a co-sponsor if that was what they are referring to and hope they are not referring to my personal financial status cos i do not have enough money in my own personal account? I applied 8th April Did biometrics 11th April Got a correspondent letter that biometric is valid for 10 years on 9th May (early hours of the morning) Got another correspondent letter showing refusal on 9th May (Late evening) Kindly advice. |

kniru:I'll advise you to go back to the University and beg to see the VC. Also, the problem could also have risen from her department. Probably they didn't send it to exams and records. University administrators in Nigeria can be very clumsy when making filings. Who was her Part adviser when she was graduating? Has she participated in the convocation ceremony for her set? Can she print out a student copy of her transcript from her online portal? Has she been awarded her certificate? Answers to these questions could help to understand the situation better. |

olaola17:Sometimes one wonders if the VOs actually take time to peruse the applications. I think this is the main reason behind the inconsistencies in their decisions. Some of them may have prejudice for certain ethnic groups, or even the way you look on your digital passport. One can never tell, anyway. |

Desmondola2020:Applied 8 of april i got correspondent biometrics letter 9th of May Got refused same day. 9th of May Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. My guardian is an elderly man with not much responsibility, he has a growing business , his children are all grown up and married and most in the US. His wife is late and so he seem to just be putting money in his domiciliary account. Do i need a co-sponsor? could it be the financial status n personal asset is as a result of me not including my own statement in it as i do not have enough fund to show there. |
