If ighalo makes afcon squad a tribal BIGOT and hater here will commit sucide.
.

you guys need to stop this...no one hates ighalo here because of his tribe....

the fact that some person's don't like some players does not mean they're tribalist.

do you know that ighalo and oshimen are of the same tribe...in Edo state?

we should all tolerate each other's opinion

At the bolded grin

From here, the straw that broke the camel's back was that chance he messed up against SA at the FNB stadium due to his Lukaku challenge. Gush I felt like kicking his teeth via the TV. Nacho should be excused from the team, dude should go back to Taye Academy in Owerri or Emmyboy's Blue Tigers of Mbaise to learn the basics grin

the miss against RSA was a crack on the camel's back...the last straw that broke the camel's back...was the miss against Man city few days ago...Even man city fans here agreed..that he should have scored that goal save for goodJoe....

Nacho should be asked to rest and watch the afcon from his house.....

I don't understand how criticism of Ighalo has become tribalism.

The other day I was saying something about Iwobi and a respected fellow on this thread threw in this Ighalo talk. And I was like..... "what's the relationship between Iwobi and Ighalo in this matter?" His comment had a tribal under tone but I just let it slide.

Jude na one of my AJ boys but I don't think anyone here criticised him in times past like I did. And that has nothing to do with his tribe but his performances on the pitch.

People should be allowed to chose any player to criticize here in Peace Abeg. It is their opinion and so they are entitled to it.

It is always easy to detect a half baked dimwit, they feel insecure and tend to fight shadows. Most times they are always guilty of semantic malapropisms bkus they use words they do not understand their meanings. That retard does not know what the words biggot and Tribalism mean, and I can prove it. grin

Talking about Mikel and David Luiz, it is a lot easier for Defenders to still keep doing it even after clocki 30+ but not so can be said for most Midfield and forward players. Age cheating is another subject matter but once most players hit that 30yrs mile stone, they start struggling. I am sure u will agree with me that even Messi of 5 years ago is not the Messi of 2019.

Messi of 5 years ago is not messi of today but messi stats of today has been better than 5 years ago

Barcelona signed arturo vidal at age 31, ac milan signed lucas biglia at age 30

Nigeria players are fond of that, when them reach 30 e go be like say na retirement time

I know mikel will play till 35, but someone here is already suggesting a mini retirement for him.

Calling for his axing is a no brainer buh at the international level, to me, it was that match against RSA. That ManCity match was rather the last nail in his coffin(career wise) until he retraces his steps.

Brendan Rodgers reveals his plan for Kelechi Iheanacho at Leicester City

Brendan Rodgers has revealed how he plans to develop Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho and restored his lost confidence.

The Nigeria international, who was criticised for missing a good chance late on in Monday’s defeat at Manchester City, has had a disappointing season and has only scored twice this season in 36 appearances, although the vast majority of those were as a substitute, and his last goal came in September in the win over Huddersfield Town.

Rodgers admits a loan switch so the 22-year-old can get more game time, start scoring some goals again and get his confidence back, could be an option for him, but Rodgers believes there is still plenty of potential to improve and develop the young City striker.

“It’s a possibility, it’s not something I’m thinking about,” said Rodgers.

“He’s a boy that’s just got to where he’s got to on his pure natural talent.

“He’s played some games for Manchester City and we’ve seen what he can do in his few appearances there.

“I think when you come into a club like here with a hefty price tag, maybe you can try and force things too much as young player.

“Normally after that that season of adaptation then things can happen for you.

“Look at Divock Origi, he’s a classic example of a young player coming in to a big club, although Kels is a bit older.

“There’s always that possibility[of a loan]. However, my plan for him is to build up his confidence in this last period.

“Whether on Monday it was being back at his former club, he probably just snatched at the chance when it came, but my job is to rebuild that confidence.

“That’s what I do.

“Then hopefully in pre-season, he’ll hit the back of the net and get the sensation of scoring again. And by the start of the season we have a player who has the confidence.”

Rodgers certainly believes Iheanacho has plenty of potential to develop and he suggested he may look at a change of formation in pre-season so he can play both Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy.

“There’s no doubt there’s something there we can work with,” he added.

“That’s what gives me great confidence.

“At times, we’ll look at a different system that allows us to have two strikers up there.

“If he’s playing with Jamie that’s a really good balance.

“In previous clubs I’ve played a diamond, I’ve played 3-1-4-2. The idea when I came here was simplicity, give the clarity. and when they grasped the concepts then you can start to develop that.”

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/brendan-rodgers-reveals-plan-kelechi-2856688

Very nice post.

“It’s a possibility, it’s not something I’m thinking about,” said Rodgers about a loan move for Iheanacho.

I like what I am reading here and one of the reasons I am against Iheanacho going to the AFCON. In the long run, we have more to gain with Nacho staying back, training with the Leicester team and going to the preseason with Rodgers were he is going to be experimental and use his ideas to give Nacho a chance to grow.

I also believe Leicester City will gain more with a 3-1-4-2 formation with Nacho and Vardy leading the line. Ndidi seating in front of the back 3. It seems exciting times ahead.

Players should convert penalties but still miss. As I said, Nacho went for an instinctive finish and missed. Missing is part of football and not the end of the World. Jamie Vardy has missed even better chances than those.

Finito.

Even Suares missed worse chances against Liverpool. That said, Iheanacho should sit at home, he needs to learn his lessons the hard way.

not only Nigerian players, even fans once a player hit 30 they start calling for his replacement, I remember saying Mikel 35 can play for us at the next world cup but plenty people disagreed, to me 35 for a midfielder who's game has never been about pace it's very OK as long as he's still playing top level football
