I used to be an homophobe like handful of folks in here, but more out of ignorance than anything else. I grew up in a conservative christian household, and thus, parrotted my parent's bigotry, not understanding the implications. Fortunately, between growing up and leaving the country, my orientation towards the LGBT community has transformed to TOLERANCE, of which I aim to impact on my children in the future. I urge y'all to broaden your mentality, and quit the demonization of what you don't understand. Discrimination towards a human being because of sexual orientation is just as bad as discrimination because of skin colour and religion. Let's live and let live for hate won't get us anywhere. Trying to cyber bully him just because his opinion deviates from the majority, only goes to show the level of ignorance and bigotry in the African society, and it makes me sad.
