I used to be an homophobe like handful of folks in here, but more out of ignorance than anything else. I grew up in a conservative christian household, and thus, parrotted my parent's bigotry, not understanding the implications. Fortunately, between growing up and leaving the country, my orientation towards the LGBT community has transformed to TOLERANCE, of which I aim to impact on my children in the future. I urge y'all to broaden your mentality, and quit the demonization of what you don't understand. Discrimination towards a human being because of sexual orientation is just as bad as discrimination because of skin colour and religion. Let's live and let live for hate won't get us anywhere. You speak of marrying under age girls being allowed in the north. Hope you know Muslims are not the only ones living in the north?.

Sharia law is applicable to Muslims, so it allows Muslims marry under age girls. But still, the Nigeria constitution is superior to that Sharia law that's why Senator yerimas bill that advocate marrying 13 year Olds was not accepted.

In the south here, marrying a person who is under age is a criminal offense. Plain and simple.
