Whites who give scholarships to people also do sacrifice. Do you see them expecting the beneficiaries to be paying for all their needs till the end of their life?

lmao. what reason would a rich german wpman marry you? what do you classify as roch exactly? someone whp earns 5k 6k a month? of you thonk ots higher then you would never meet those kinds people in your circle or in your wider circle. what exactlydo you have to offer a rich german woman to make her marry you? where would you see a rich german woman to talk to since she rolls with her own type? thays why i asked you if you are normal at all.

What am saying is not even far fetched. See as that man that had a sign board with phone number saying he wants to eat with Dangote has his wishes fulfilled with #20 000 for his efforts.

That's the power of internet.

Someone got iPhone from Davido that's the power of internet.

Thanks for your advice. I kinda notice there's been no advice on Nigeria. Are you writing her off in business terms?

And please, may I ask why.
As an entrepreneur in Nigeria, let me tell you the honest reality-based truth. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF COMING BACK TO NIGERIA EXCEPT YOU ARE VERY FINANCIALLY BOUYANT AND YOU HAVE A HEART/MIND MADE OF CARBON FIBER(NOT JUST STEEL). FINANCIALLY BOUYANT TO ALSO HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN INCASE THINGS GO SOUTH AND THERE'S A 85% CHANCE IT WILL ESPECIALLY FOR A NEW BUSINESS.

why are you downgrading the job he does. this is the mentality we have to change in Nigeria. what is wrong in washing plates? is it npt someome that does it? this is what we are talkimg about. is it the ceo or accountant who just ate in the restaurant that would wash his own plate bfore going back to his office? he gets paid for it atmost 1m every month, if he is single and lives a frugal lifestyle, he wpuld be able to do alot with that back home. you can abise every other part of him but leave hos job out of it.. a white man would not downgrade him for washing plates because its also a job.

why is he not doing that type of job in Nigeria. this same nigerian will disrespect and treat someone doing similar job in nigeria anuhow..so we should respect him because he is doing similar job abroad

As A Nigerian, resident in Nigeria. I advice, Don't you ever think of coming back to this place.

Ok, let's say you successfully start up a business, you would have to face power, you will supply atleast 70% of the power you need, and you would still pay electricity agencies a lot for the 30% they would provide.
You would meet a lot of bottle necks, stupid people setting up stupid illegal taxes to enrich themselves, and you must comply, or they'll destroy your goods.
Let's say you overcome the above 2 and start up the business, then you have to face your biggest problem, marketing! A lot of people might actually be in need of your goods, but there is very little money in circulation in this country. Most of your customers (like 60% of them) would want to deal on credits. If you know the amount of credit a lot of businesses have to offer, and this can be suicidal for a start up business.

You will have to deal with transportation, and believe me, it's costly as hell.
Then security, both you and your goods are not secure in this country.

The only reason a person should think of coming back here is if he has secured a political appointment down here, if not, manage your menial jobs it's way better.

These are the exact same problems am facing right now. I opened a small bet shop early this year, but it's been five months and I've not been able to make one Naira. First of all, there's poor patronage as the betting company is not that popular in my area.

But worse of it all is the issue of power.
I can say I provide 97% of the power I use. I run on fuel 24/7, so the little money I make, I waste it on fuel.
Then again LG bills. Some crazy bills from local government in the name of taxes. I am already looking for who will buy this business from my hand before it gets me to depression.

Honestly, it takes gutts to do business in this country. Power failure alone will almost cripple you.

OP, if you must leave Germany, then go to a small African country with stable power and start up there, because that's exactly what I will do if I were you. But coming back to Nigeria is not an option

The term 'Professional Job' means different things to the typical Nigerian and the wider world.

To the average Nigerian it means a white collar job which involves sitting in front of a computer in an airconditioned office (including anything admin).

To the wider world it means being a professional in your own field which means going through college, university or even through work experience to learn a particular skill.
Askilled and qualifiedplumber is a professional job, so is a skilled farmer, Doctor, Nurse, Radiotherapist, secretary, Artist, Architect, Mechanic, Accountant etc

Most Nigerians do not take pride in what they do except they are sitting in an office. The sooner we do away with that mentality the better. Saying this I am not saying that people should be doing menial jobs for the rest of their lives. You have to start from somewhere cos there are bills to be paid and then you look for ways to better yourself by experience, courses. Don't expect to bring your paper certificate from a corrupt and unstable country and be given a managerial role in a country where you have to learn the language and write and communicate fluently in that language . Why will a country leave their own indigenes and take on a foreigner with no experience who is not fluent in the language?

There are professional Nigerians in every country if you look harder, they may not be much in certain countries but in the UK and US there are a lot of Nigerians who started from humble beginnings and are now highly skilled professionals in their various fields. You have got to be able to crawl before you can walk.

Surround yourself with friends and family who will motivate you and add value to your life and not pessimists. If you have friends that always tell you a 'black man can never get that job' , stay clear from them. Build up your confidence, be able to sell yourself and get rid of this defeatist attitude, cos no matter which country you go to with such an attitude, you will not get anywhere.

Also when you have to choose a life partner , make sure its for the right reasons. be man enough to tell your family how you feel and stop going around in circles. Nigerian at this point in time is like a den of wolves, they will have you for breakfast .

Good luck for the future.

This life ehn. We've got Nigerian students from Canada come to Germany because of lack of skilled opportunities. They say there is discrimination on lack of Canadian degrees and Canadian experience. Also, honest reviews from Quora don't help. It seems many skilled migrants in Canada are also trapped in these same unskilled jobs.

I would have gone to Canada long ago if not for that. I felt the money to be wasted on the processing of the Canadian PR to go get unskilled jobs could be better channelled to my business projects in Nigeria.

Huh shocked negative reviews abt Canada
doing business in naija is nor for the weak ooo

i am waiting for a security man abroad to come pay for my generation...let him come give our family business, the type of profit we make yearly with his security job even doctors abroad cant do that talkless of an ordinary security man

If you are as good as you claim then come home. A diamond has no hiding place. Apply to multinationals in Nigeria if you have what it takes you will get the job. And then you will get to travel to all these countries for training, you will now see how they will always try to pouch you every time that's only if you are as good as you claim. Else stay over there and keep doing your menial job and gather enough money before heading back. Your choice.

If he's as good as he claimed....
He will get good job offers in Germany or anywhere else....
As u said, a diamond has no hiding place...

I still maintain my stance on another post. Jobs boku you just have to meet the requirements period. If you don't then you will only be stuck doing shitty jobs.

The real truth is not that they are professional jobs out there looking for people but professional people who can do the job. Even if you are a waitress in a bar, there has to be some level of professional approach to it to make it legit and harassment free. A stripper even can be a professional and thats why one can do any job.

its only in nigeria or a nigerian that feels you be head of departments to be professional or sit in one big office and dishing orders before you can feel among. Those driving buses in the UK are some of the highest paid in the UK and it just require you to be professional.

The only country where i think professionalism cant work is nigeria and i repeat, relocating back home without being a passport holder of one of these developed nations is a bad idea. i can bet you, for now, fustration will set in and going out isnt easy coming in. people drinking sniper and jumping bridges are on the high....
