Bourne007:
You need to run from a solicitor who isn't aware that a degree in UK already meets your English requirements.

You have initially made a spouse visa and nothing has changed requirement wise (unless you've not done your research. UKVI guidelines scatter all over google) so not sure why u doubting.

I wonder o.....

I use old system to applied by sending all my documents off.

Bourne007:
How did you apply? Didn't you use the new system where you upload docs and passport(s), book appointment and do biometrics on the spot?

I guess you have to be patient till they send a letter to do your biometrics. You should have opted to use the new system where biometrics is done same day and not that they will hold on to your passport.

You can possibly call UKVI customer service and see what they say.

Good Evening my people...
Please I have a quick question.

I'm about to request a copy of my contract from my employer as well as a reference letter stating my income and to support my application for FLR (M). Just trying to put my house in order ( Avoiding last minute preparations)

Can I apply for these supporting documents from my employer now or should I wait few weeks to when i'm to submit my application?
Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by Bourne007(m): 10:14pm On Apr 24, 2019
If I request for a letter from my HR, it will usually take a day or 2 sent via email. Guess you will have to check with your HR how long it will take and proceed from there.

Contract is optional. Payslips and letter from employer is def required.

Thank you very much...

It takes about 3 to 5 working days to get the letters.. I think i'll just request it now and file it.

You can request for your contracts now...but the letter from your employer stating your salary in the past 12 months etc should be dated within 28 days from your date of application. That was the time limit when I did mine, dunno if it has changed. All the best

Good evening everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

My husband submitted his application on-line for FLR M on Friday, 3rd of May, 2019 (priority option). He tried endlessly to book an appointment in Croydon for the 9th of May, 2019 online but he kept on getting an error message saying "We are currently experiencing issues, please try again". In the end, he had to call the customer service number and he has been booked in for the 23rd of May, 2019

I got my employment letter from HR which is dated the 25th of April and my payslips and bank statements from November 2018 to April 2019. Now, my question is.....are my documents within the 28 days rule from when my husband submitted his application (3rd of May, 2019) or from the date when my employment letter was written. I get paid on the last Friday of each month, will my April payslip also be ok?

I am quite confused at the moment sad

You should still be able to upload documents until biometrics are taken. When I did mine, was asked if I was happy for them to submit.

Couldn't you get "priority" appointment for biometrics, costs an extra £100 if slots are available

Thank you so much for your response.

We will be uploading our documents over the weekend.

The priority appointment was the one he tried to book on the 9th of May but was unsuccessful

I am not quite sure what the answer is, I used NARIC the second time round because I didn't write the test in my initial application but a comment from benuromi on page 6 of this thread states that he knows someone who used the test from Nigeria, as I am not familiar with the tests, I cannot advice on this, sorry.

Hello newbie715, Concerning your use of NARIC for FLR, was it the same Naric certificate you used from Nigeria or did you reapply for another Naric certificate for FLR? Thanks.

Hello house, thanks to all moderators for sustaining this page. Please hubby (British citizen) and I intend travelling to Europe to visit family (Holland & France) together. I am currently on my 1st spouse Visa which is yet to expire(next year).
How do I go about the travelling (flight) process.
1) Do I apply for visa since hubby (citizen) will accompany me?
2) I will appreciate any and all information. Thanks.

Hi foxyvisa, I did not use NARIC from Nigeria, I used my Nigerian University MBA certificate and a letter from the school stating that English was the medium used for the programme but when I wanted to renew my visa, I just respected myself and got NARIC to avoid any issues but as deept said, same NARIC suffices.

A schengen visa is what you need as Lexusgs430 said. As the spouse of a British citizen, at least while the UK is still in the EU, your schengen requirements are less than the regular applicants requirements, so enjoy while it lasts. Also, one schengen will cover both locations, apply to the country you are travelling to first and you will be able to visit the second as long as it is within the visa validity period.

Thanks newbie715, I got my degree certificate and letter from school also stating English was the medium and applied for NARIC CERTIFICATE in Nigeria for the first spouse visa. I submitted the NARIC certificate. For the FLR application, I intend using the same NARIC certificate i used from Nigeria. I hope they don't expect me to provide a recent NARIC certificate?.
