A man has taken to Twitter where he revealed that Al Noor Mosque in Abuja has become a venue where people show off and where ladies market themselves to young men.

According to the man, the young men appear to be people who don't really come to the mosque to worship but for the purpose of meeting the ladies marketing themselves, that's why they are seen only once a year.

His post was countered by someone who said there isn't anything bad in going to a mosque with intentions of finding a spouse. Umar however pointed out that those going to Al Noor Mosque aren't really going there for a spouse but probably for riches.

Intentions in islam is very important….. there so many ways in seeking marriage in islam and there are so many other mosques in Abuja but that particular mosque is being classified as that of the rich…. Bro I know what I'm saying. MAY Allah guide us

There's nothing wrong in going to mosque to meet potential husband/wife. If people don't go to mosque to meet possible husband, where should one go? Club or on the road. I tire for this Nigeria, everything people must shuk mouth

It can go both ways right or wrong.
Right its a chance of meeting marriageable patners as muslims has limited matchmaking avenues.
Wrongly if meeting leads to wrongful and illegal interactions sexually or otherwise.

People comment freely on Christian threads because of the freedom, and of course you cannot hide under Christianity to commit atrocities without being found out. Christianity is not a religion, its a relationship.

Nothing is bad about it as long as the intention was to meet a potential husband, some peoples mere their spouses through social media and alikes, if others feels comfortable to go and prays, then meets new faces for the possibility of it, you are not offended then.

Well the guy must have seen one or two instances which he may believe it to be so, i do attend prayers at Al noor Musque i doubt much about the subject of show up. However some evil ladies may exhibit such character. Note that Men and women dont mixup in the mosque both worship at separate halls. ....
This kind of things happens mostly in other worship centers across all faiths but very rear in the Muslim angle. May God help us.

Before you present your allegation to the public have you approached the Imam or officials of the mosque? How many of these young men/women have you approached for the purpose of correcting them?

Fear the Almighty Allah and safe yourself from His wrath if you have deliberately decided to slander Muslim young men and women.
