Thank you for this.
Well said.

Hey @newmum
Thanks for sharing your transcripts.
I believe you’re sharing to pinpoint areas that can be improved for future interviews.

1. Your purpose of visit
The VO made it clear he knows the state so it would be helpful to have listed specific activities you planned on doing. The DMV actually has lots of interesting tourist attractions for the family like yours.
The vague answer seemed to raise doubts about your aim.

2. Your previous travel
My company also sends people on trips regularly even if they have only worked with us for a short time so I get.
However, you should have provided better context - like - I spent 8 weeks in Holland during a mandatory on-boarding training or I was in charge of a team implementing a new software system. These are examples. Yours should be the true story of what you did there. General biz trips are rarely that long. That instantly answers any questions or doubts.

Regarding next steps, you may consider Canada as they give long term visas and since you have a job, travel history etc, you have a solid chance.

As per the US, they are not smiling at the moment regarding birth Tourism. However, if you are determined, put together all relevant documentation and apply for a medical visa in 6 months plus.

I just don't get it... Why can't she say, she's not pregnant at the moment but will use the visa for birthing when the time comes but as at now, it's will be used for tourism.

By now this shouldn't come as a surprise to you that she tried the stunt.

However, some people still believe that the US visa officers have not already known all the tricks Nigerians can play with them to convince for visas.

Accepted. Welcome back.

You have to fill the form separately. Every individual is filled separately. at the point of scheduling the appointment, then u can schedule together as a family.

When you say schedule together as a family, you mean one profile can book for all others to join in the appointment? My mom and I have interview next month and am added as a family member on her profile. On the appointment letter, only her details came up (ds 160 confirmation number, and via a fee) nothing regarding mine except my name. I have sent mails to ustraveldocs, no reply.

I think people question what they dont know..2 months after i joined my company, I was sent to Netherlands for a 3 weeks workshop..5 months into our employment, one of the ladies that joined with me got a short term assignment in Netherlands for 18 months which she went for...Lets stop doubting things we don't know just because we have not seen it happen and it not happening around us does not make it a lie..Companies get level please..She might be working with one big IOC and not Adekoya and brothers

TWoods:

Too often we are guilty of thinking about our case in isolation. We forget that the VOs hear cases like this countless times everyday. They’ve learnt to take stories like hers with a pinch of salt.

What company in Nigeria sends you on an 8-week “business” trip to Europe within less than a year of employment? As far as the VO is concerned, she’s basically shopping around for countries to have her babies for citizenship purposes.

You don't need to escape, you can leave crossing the border, you can get your passport. Try to escape from North Korea, there it sucks. Still Nigeria makes hard financial life for Nigerians but you are free to go. Many countries are the same difficult, Nigeria is not the best but not the worse. Freedom to cross the border even walking is priceless.

Now that you mentioned that, what's stopping her from explaining why she was sent abroad that duration to the V.O? 80% of the work is during the interview.

You think it's everybody that comes to a place to work there that come in as freshers to the job? Some people are much sought for/after because of reputable and effective delivery on these kind of responsibility!

In as much as you have your right to your opinion, you ought not to undermine someone else's character.
You are stating the person and the organisation are into human trafficking. That's a step too much.

I know someone who went for a speaking engagement in US on behalf of his company, and was head hunted by the World Bank. He only returned to move his family. He left on a B1/B2 visa

Let’s face it, what you describe is not the typical Nigerian work experience. Companies may get level in Nigeria but they are simply places to work in the US. Let’s not overhype them simply because they come with certain perks. Being sent on foreign assignments are par for the course here.

Trump to Launch Fresh Immigration Overhaul Bid
Plan aims to curb refugees and family members, and boost skill-based visas
https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-to-launch-fresh-immigration-overhaul-bid-11557956429

Mr. Trump is set to unveil an immigration plan devised in part by son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner that incorporates several ideas that have been gaining currency in Republican circles.

Chief among them: a bill crafted by conservative Republicans that would establish a visa system prioritizing immigrants based on criteria such as education, English-language ability and high-paying job offers.

The proposal also would eliminate the diversity-visa lottery long derided by Mr. Trump as well as immigration routes for family members such as siblings. Moreover, it would limit the number of refugees offered permanent residency to 50,000 a year.

If it's Lagos then October! You better rush and book now. There will be a mad rush for dates cos of the Dropbox issue
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by OmoBendel24: 11:24am On May 16, 2019
Seems there's a new development now, namely; wait time (between one B1/B2 visa refusal and application for another of same category) adjustment from 6 to 12 months in the offing maybe, and a dichotomy in the dates allocated to applicants for renewal and those for normal applications. Dunno exactly, just speculating on what/where the attached image may just be headed....

N.B// This is for Abuja as of about now

Please note that it is not required to check any of the corresponding boxes below.

It appears to be an optional request that would require the applicant to be honest.

You just have to keep checking but I advice you pick what you can see now before it gets to November.
I don't know anything about agents. I don't even go close to that side
