Folafikemi:Just relax, it will come soon. I'm guessing you submitted in February right? Remember that the standard processing time is 6months so it's always best to make plans for 6months from AOR. I did biometrics 12th December 2018 and PPR didn't come till third week in April 2019. Even with that, my application was processed in under 6months. |

Good people, I booked a flight for someone in naija and paid with my credit card, and BA has a clause on their website that if the payer is not among the travelling party then the credit card should be produced at the booking office before the traveller can be allowed to fly. How do I resolve this? Do I have to write a letter to BA or do I scan my Credit card and send to the traveller? Anyone encountered such before? Thanks in advance |

YETI28:I used my statement of result all through and know many others who did same for their WES evaluation. |

Folafikemi:You better remove your mind from the application for now before you give yourself hypertension. You start with checking hourly for updates, then twice a day, then once daily, then once in a week...till you give up and tell yourself if they dont mail you, no more checking....but you still end up checking everytime you read a PPR story ![]() |

I don't think this is entirely true. I travelled last year aboard BA and someone in the UK booked and paid for the ticket, i just sent the naira equivalent to him and i had no issue. But again, this might be a new rule! wengerly: |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by IykeD(m): 6:26am On May 16, 2019 |
Abiodunnn:He specifically mentioned "credit card" payment and not any other form. OP, most Airlines have this clause so you may want to contact the airline directly and ask them what you can do. |

I don't think this is an issue though. The person you booked for would be just fine. Don't scan your card, it's a really risky thing to do. wengerly: |

I will agree with this, I used Delta and at the point of check in I was asked to show the credit card I used to book the flight. It had this same clause of required to show credit card used for payment when I was purchasing the ticket IykeD: |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by nomad26: 2:09pm On May 16, 2019 |
Delta is very notorious for this. Happened to a friend of mine 2 years ago, when he bought a ticket to the US for his sister coming from Nigeria. He was asked to go to the nearest airport to him and present the credit card to the Delta help desk for validation. As for BA, I have used my credit card on two different occasions to buy tickets for my spouse flying from Nigeria to UK, but they never requested for the credit card at the airport, so I doubt anyone will pay attention to this in your case. For your peace of mind sha, call them to find out what they suggest. wengerly: |

| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by ysteph: 5:20pm On May 16, 2019 |
Fear not. The clause is there but they don't enforce it. Maybe youu should send a snap shot of the card to the person to show at the airport in case it is requested for. wengerly: |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by guzenaira: 5:23pm On May 16, 2019 |
wengerly:If you book directly from them, you are bound to face such issue. I used FlightHub anyway and such a thing never happened to me even I once had a connecting flight with BA and such a thing never happened. |

Hello Fam. Please I'm still waiting for a response to my question. I want to know if the Canadian government taxes any of the cash income that is taken to Canada from Nigeria after landing as a PR. Any feedback would be appreciated. |

i will be landing on the 19th June and the accommodation hustle has really been a challenge on rentfaster and co. I would like to know the range for a modest AirBnb for someone that wants to be pinching POF small small- couples, without kids. We hope we can start with the process for accommodation here and finalize within few days while stay at the AirBNB. Landed seniors, especially in calgary over to you. |

thanks for the tip
. Toronto was a long queue and POF check was smooth…officer only asked what I came in with. I was about to show him and he said I shouldn’t bother showing him. Ethiopian airline guys advised me to change my flight to one that had long connecting time for Toronto/Edmonton. I heeded their advice and I was just in time for my flight to Edmonton after immigration stress. In fact, I had to run as the flight was about leaving. I would have been put on another flight without any extra charge but my people in Edmonton had cleared their itinerary for my arrival so it wouldn’t have been fair.
For two months, I read and did nothing else; not even job applications. After about 800pages and some practice, I took the exam in July and I’m still grateful I passed at first attempt.
The networking event was quickly followed by a proper interview a week later and in the second week of October, I got an offer for an Intern position. I resumed 3rd week of November and I will be in training till summer. It’s a very intensive one but I’m glad I got it.
) because I learnt that in naija but I never had my car so I’ll be ready for my road test come September.
