Hi mama, there's no separate thread for 6 months plus. Search this group for recipes for 6 months. For carrot/apple/potato puree peel, cut to small pieces, boil and blend unex50: |

comtem2011:At unex50 was also thinking of Aveeno and sebamed too. At contem wish he's face could be chocolate like he's body. Looks like am bleaching him. He's face looks like it has like cream burns on his cheeks and I use cussons pink soap. I'm thinking of changing soap. We don't use any cream since January because of heat. |

Chinnybaby99 & Unex50. My baby is 5months old and this is exactly how his complexion is, though his face & hands are very fresh & light while the rest of his body is chocolate. I've been using cacatin for 2weeks now cos we were battling with rashes/eela. I still have Shea butter in my fridge & Sebamed we got while baby shopping but I haven't used them yet. If sabi mamas say that's how babys are, no wahala. I hope it blends soon. @unex50 there is a thread for 4-6months+ I'd mention you there cos I can't post link 2 Likes |

Good evening sabi mamas. please whats the difference between ring circumcision and ordinary circumcision? Someone advised me to go for the ring one but the hospital i checked out for that said they don't do ring one but ordinary one. Pls any idea on this issue will be helpful to me |

irene670: Both methods are ok. One of the difference of the two is that the ring/plastibell method involves having a cap on the pe.nis after the surgery and you will have to wait till it comes off by itself usually within 3-7days. This method looks neater in my opinion. The other conventional method has the pe.nis bare after the surgery so it is usual for one to get bothered about diaper touching it. For whichever method used. The pain is real and the aftercare is very important. You will be appropriately guided by the doctors and nurses. 2 Likes |

irene670:Go to a general hospital. For my DS i did the ring and i really liked it cos it didn't take long b4 it healed up not even upto a week sef so i will advice you go for the ring and ut doesn't have so much stress like the conventional one. I paid 5k for it. That's the amount it is done in Lagos here i guess |

irene670:Try to find a hospital that does ring, cuz it's the more current method. If you can't, the other method is still fine. |

Sabi mamas pls come o, my baby grunts and stretches a lot at night that it’s difficult for her to sleep and when she does that, her stomach tightens with each distressed sound she makes. It has stopped for few days and now she has it last night and it’s worse this time around that nobody could sleep. We are at MIL’s and she already got several herbs for her when the thing wasn’t much because she believed it’s her navel giving her discomfort. She gave her twice which there was no result and instructed me to be giving her ( she handed the herbs to me) I never for once gave her those because I’m not comfortable with those concoction on a baby that’s still developing her organs. I could have gone to the hospital but the private hospital I went to when I wasn’t feeling well gave me 18injections in 3days with several drugs and I’m still here battling with same symptoms so I don’t want my baby to be experimented on. I’ve been to general hospital trice and I was unable to see the doctor. Please mamas, who has experienced this issue before should come to my aid pls. 1 Like |

Toopee:I suspect it is Colic. For my baby, I got infacol for him and sometimes, I position him on his back and move his legs in a bicycling motion, then put a little pressure on his stomach to move the gas through. It was quite relieving for him. Other sabi mamas will put mouth and you could search for other colic remedies using the search button. 4 Likes |

Toopee: Read up on colic in babies Let baby sleep more on his/her tummy Avoid eating foods prone to build up of gas in your system- beans, dairy products, soft drinks etc etc Massage baby’s tummy with a warm Towel - this one is probably a placebo sha Lay baby on the back and move the legs in a bicycle motion Good luck 3 Likes |

Hi Mama, your baby has colic. It's something that happens to newborns as their digestive system develops and they eventually outgrow it. Me I didn't use drugs because my paed advised against it. Make sure you burp baby well after each feed. When baby looks uncomfortable bicycle his legs or rub her tummy in a clockwise direction (youtube videos will guide). Please do not give herbs at all Toopee: 2 Likes |
