Good afternoon,
Please i need information on where i can get adult vaccines in Abuja, preferably around wuse. The vaccines needed are MMR, tetanus and meningitis. Ideas on what the price is like would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I’m presently putting pressure on her tummy and guess what, she let out a huge gas with difficulty though, and I’m relieved she’s getting some relief. God bless you and yours
SlimBrawnie:

I suspect it is Colic. For my baby, I got infacol for him and sometimes, I position him on his back and move his legs in a bicycling motion, then put a little pressure on his stomach to move the gas through. It was quite relieving for him. Other sabi mamas will put mouth and you could search for other colic remedies using the search button.

Thank you mummy, I think the soya milk I drank and zero coke are the culprit for the increased pain she’s having. Thank you so much
babythug:

Read up on colic in babies

Let baby sleep more on his/her tummy

Avoid eating foods prone to build up of gas in your system- beans, dairy products, soft drinks etc
etc

Massage baby’s tummy with a warm
Towel - this one is probably a placebo sha

Lay baby on the back and move the legs in a bicycle motion

Good luck

Thank you for your input mama, I’m grateful. That tummy rub works, almost immediately I started! Now she’s asleep and smiling, I’m also smiling back at her smiley

hunniesuzie:
Hi Mama, your baby has colic. It's something that happens to newborns as their digestive system develops and they eventually outgrow it. Me I didn't use drugs because my paed advised against it. Make sure you burp baby well after each feed. When baby looks uncomfortable bicycle his legs or rub her tummy in a clockwise direction (youtube videos will guide). Please do not give herbs at all

What soap and cream do you use for him? Stop using sponge for the meantime and see a dermatologist or a general practitioner.

Try to find a hospital that does ring, cuz it's the more current method. If you can't, the other method is still fine.
ok ma. thanks

Lehwah:

Go to a general hospital. For my DS i did the ring and i really liked it cos it didn't take long b4 it healed up not even upto a week sef so i will advice you go for the ring and ut doesn't have so much stress like the conventional one. I paid 5k for it. That's the amount it is done in Lagos here i guess
I went to teaching hospital here, they are on strike and i don't think they are resuming anytime soon. i asked most private hospital around my place, none is doing the ring own. Am in orlu, imo state

Both methods are ok. One of the difference of the two is that the ring/plastibell method involves having a cap on the pe.nis after the surgery and you will have to wait till it comes off by itself usually within 3-7days. This method looks neater in my opinion.

The other conventional method has the pe.nis bare after the surgery so it is usual for one to get bothered about diaper touching it.

For whichever method used. The pain is real and the aftercare is very important. You will be appropriately guided by the doctors and nurses.
ok ma, tnx

Amen. To make it a bit easier for her, you can lay her on her back, use one hand to hold both legs, then raise it up towards her face, while gently pressing her tommy with the other hand. I still do it for my 5months old once in a while. Kisses to DD

Hello Sabi Mamas in the house, i am here again with my plenty wahala.
My 4 months old DS who takes breastmilk and Nan 1 has been stooling for 3-4times a day since last week Monday, one of the days it was as much as 6 times. I gave him zinc, ors and augumentin drops(prescribed by a pharmacist) but no improvement still. He has lost weight already and i decided to carry him to the hospital last night cos i was getting really worried. Only for me to get to the hospital in that rain, my Son was smiling and cooing at the doctor, and the doctor said he is perfectly normal that there is nothing wrong with him. I was like whatttt so you mean i ran out of my house by past 7pm only for you to tell me it is fine for him to suddenly start stooling for 3-4times a day for the past 1 week, please adonbeleivit. His weight 4 weeks ago was 6.8kg, yesterday 6.9kg, i told doctor, he had lost all the weight he had gathered for the past 4 weeks due to the stooling, the doctor said he is even big sef that the average weight for a 4months old is 6.5kg.

Please o, help me torchlight this matter if truly the doctor is right. (The stool is watery, has mucus, yellow and has egusi like particles). He gave me one Famagyl suspension to give so it doesnt look like i returned from the hospital emptyhanded. But going through the leaflet i cant find dosage for babies, it starts from 1year. Has anybody used this drug for their baby? He also gave Ketofung Cream for the eela.

Just get the other method then, the earlier the better. Ring is still a bit scarce in the East, I used the other method for my son.

I don't know why many doctors would always fall for smiling babies and refuse to run tests. I've learnt to insist, if not all my hospital trips would be wasted.

I've never given Flagyl suspension to my baby but I won't give a 4month old medicine that's meant for 1year+ except a doctor reassures me that's it safe. Since it's been a week and the baby is losing weight, go and see another doctor biko.

Lol, you never see anything. Just make sure u clear any object that can injure him. They are like that, my own can talk from morning till night and from one thing to another.

I wonder why they don't get tired. Cos even adult is looking for an opportunity to nap in the afternoon. Enjoy it while it last.
