When it comes to issue of internet fraud, Section 7 of the EFCC Act gives a special power to the Commission to investigate anyone suspected to have committed internet crimes. What the section that talks about investigating politicians who blew allocations given to them for the development of this country?

The guy above me is onto Yahoo Yahoo or what? Nigeria is dysfunctional but internet fraud is not the answer. We should learn to hold our leaders accountable. Youths of unilag were among those that forced IBB out of govt when he lost touch with the masses. Political awareness and responsible citizenship will yield more dividend than Yahoo.
What is the answer sir?

I know the first agenda of 9th senate is to confirm this man as the chairman of efcc, because Saraki and PDP has frustrated that for long, reason why APC are fighting to ensure they have obedient folks in the leadership of the national assembly

Almost everyone has a wealthy family member that can raise some of the family member up, but they won't do that because they want you to lick their ass before they give u 1k when u need 100k. And that simple analysis portrays the reason why we have wicked leaders, they are products of the society, an average Nigerian wish to see his neighbor suffer when he's living comfortably so that the "baba agbalagba" chants with two hands raised keep going on and on. I'm from a wealthy extended family but each keep their millions, billion to themselves even though it's illegally gotten, the churches, mosques worships them. I saw them last during family burial and they didn't in anyway expect to see me in way they did, they were stunned that I've been elevated, their conclusion was im into something illegal, they avoided me like a plague and I didn't care, they just want me to fret like other idiots in the family on sighting them....

jobnow01:

The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu has urged Nigerian students to desist from cyber crimes, popularly referred to as Yahoo -yahoo and all other forms of internet-related offences that could derail their destinies.

Magu stated this on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 while delivering a lecture at the University of Ilorin on the dangers of internet fraud.

The EFCC boss who was represented by Head, Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences, Ilorin Zonal Office, Olamide Sadiq said anyone caught for offences bordering on internet fraud would be detained, prosecuted and jailed.

According to him, “if you use pictures that do not belong to you just with intent to defraud someone, it is impersonation. You have committed an offence that carries five years imprisonment.

“I am emphasising to you on the need to desist from cyber crimes. If you are found to be in possession of fraudulent documents, you have committed a criminal offence which has a great consequence.”The EFCC boss informed the students that the Commission has special powers to cause investigations into anyone or corporate body, suspected to have participated in economic and financial crimes.”

When it comes to issue of internet fraud, Section 7 of the EFCC Act gives a special power to the Commission to investigate anyone suspected to have committed internet crimes. “A police officer can arrest an internet fraudster and bring him/her to the Commission. If we find out that the person is innocent, we will allow him or her to go.”

you are a scum for being an attack dog. For doing the right thing at the wrong time... I'm wondering what's clogged ur eyes and blocked ur ear drums that you haven't been able to investigate, arrests and prosecute politicians that evidences has been tendered and published to u.

Anyway nigerians are cowards and easily cowed to submission.. If not no reasonable explanation for this torture of the masses... Before I was born over 3 decades ago many musicians sang about the ills of our society, sadly those ills aren't only persistent but have skyrocketed.

Now there's a bill in the house to control migration... I. E to limit the amount of people exiting the country... Smh.. Next level indeed loading..

There are other forms of financial crimes too...Ponzi scheme, civil service and government financial crimes, these are crimes against the nation and treasury, not supporting yahoo, but yahoo is just like 15%, of the total financial crimes perpetrated in Nigeria.
