The light thing is the most annoying. When I first came here, was told there won't be light for 3days 'cause it rained heavily that day. Asked "why?" and was told NEPA dey dry wire first after rainful before them go bring light. It was hilarious hearing that the first time.

My brother i stayed in evboutubu for almost two years.
People there are suffering sha,no good road network and no light.
I always feel ashamed if people are coming to visit, i just pray Obaseki helps them out.

This is just one junction and you need to see how these roads were few years ago.

Oliha,Ehaekpen,Siluko,Ekewan,T.V rd are more or less old Benin. Most houses there are Igiogbe's and its automatically willed to the first Son, no one dares renovate it,if that first son is not well to do expect that house to remain the same for another 50yrs.
We all saw what Daisy Ehanire did to their family house that was sold, she bought it and turned into a beauty along Akpakpava.

Most family members are ready to do same to these houses with corrugated brown roof but the Omodion factor is affecting development in the ancient city

As for the roads I keep saying Edo State is very unlucky with good leaders, just the way the governors faces are ugly that's how they want to Edo State to remain and only a handsome or beautiful governor will make Edo State look beautiful.

All the same I love my state for the peace and tranquility that's abounds. Benin city is calm and peaceful and it's a lovely place if you want to enjoy.

Sometimes we really can't appreciate the beauty of a landscape until when we view it from the outer space. Edo state has been in the news lately and this is due to the road construction and beautification the state governor embarked on recently.

This is Oliha Market axis of Siluko Road... Ehaekpen/TV road is first dualized road project by Governor Godwin Obaseki's administration. These are some of the drone images of some major roads at Siluko, Edo State.
