I thought I was the only one that thought season 8 was an anti climax. I stopped watching after watching episode 4. It was beginning to look like nollywood films, where the ending is horribly rush and becomes detached from the whole story.
The part that annoyed me most is in order to justify daenery's change from being a caring and humane queen to a "mad queen" they wrote and shot some senseless scenes to make her appear angry and lose her compassion.
The killing of the dragon and the capturing and beheading of her aid by cersi were stupid. Where were they going when the dragon was killed. They were not invading Kingslanding at that time, so why was she flying her two dragons. Also the attack on her ships and the capture of her aid does not fit any purpose.

I have not bothered to watch episode 5, from from reviews, I heard the story line is shit also.

The most disappointing character of all.

I wonder why she wiped out innocent lives even after the bell rang when she ought to ride straight down to capture Cerci and give her a VIP torture.

The dotrakhi or the unsolid should have done a commando style kidnap of cerci.

Season 8 won't be remade because it's the last season and there's some huge financial and legal implications also. I know that some kind of an extended cut of the season 8 might be released afterwards but ultimately there's no way that will soothe these aggrieved fans. Assuming better writers and producers are chosen, I don't think the final story line will appease everyone because I heard that the script is based on an already written unreleased novel by George R Martin.

The fans of Game of Thrones should just calm down and deal with it. Why are they even so upset about a series based on a fantasy novel that is not derived from any actual historical events or locations.

I expected this, please name one series that has ended well See how prison break, lost, supernatural, the walking dead, and many other great seasons had woeful endings...conclusion writing is very very difficult.

"She's my queen she's my queen" was all that Jon snow was saying when all could read the signs n see what daenery was up to...He wasn't the king of the north fans fell in love with in previous seasons,he actually behaved and sounded like a bastard...

The show, especially the last season was a huge success.

The S8E07 took most speculators off hook, anything other than what happened there would have been very predictable ie Cersei dying a slow and painful dead etc.

The show achieved what every show ever wished for, ie generate controversies , talk and over a thousand discussion points in the world's top forums

My own concern is the Dragon...Does the dragon has a pipeline connection with an Oil company ni . because how can one dragon emit so much fire to destroy a big city without been exhausted

George Martin is a master in his craft; his ASOIAF books are simply peerless, so there's honestly no way the quality of the show would not have gone down when D& ran out of Martin's books. Of course, this knowledge doesn't make watching season8 any less awful, but at least it helps put the awfulness in perspective: D& really did do their best.

Take any of the 2 main "set pieces" and look at them as a stand-alone: the Battle of Winterfell, and the Battle (or should we say the Massacre) of Kings Landing. By themselves, these two events were excellent in choreography, camera work, special effects, and cinematic directing (I will leave out dialogue/scripting for obvious reasons). The problem only shows up when you look at the bigger picture: continuity and storyline-development.

My point with all this grammar is this: yes, season8 is awful, but I would not blame D& so much. I honestly doubt anyone could do better without GRR Martin's source material.

And by the way, a remake is never going to happen. Too expensive.
