raumdeuter:The worst thing that SW will do is to present Osinbajo in 2023, the north will not vote for a pastor, the same way southern christians will not vote for an Imam to be president of Nigeria. |

raumdeuter:You know the funny thing? Even many Ipobs would vote Osinbajo. They hate Tinubu but Osinbajo has acceptance there. |

Odingo1:Okay wait o. We will see. Let Ohaneze present their person maybe Peter Obi and let SW present Osinbajo and let us see |

if all south east and South South vote for someone's the person can't emerge as the winner |

Odingo1:I understand your concerns but you should understand something. Buhari isn't running and so, it's up for contest. Secondly, Buhari is a big factor and anyone who he endorses is gonna get a chunk of the votes. Thirdly, the North voted OBJ in 99 and 2003. Even GEJ in 2011 got a chunk of Northern votes. All they need is to be assured of protection of their interests. Once done, good to go. |

Tinubu will lose the south just like buhari. But unlike buhari, he cannot make up the votes in the North. |
| Re: Tinubu Should Forget 2023 - Ohanaeze Ndigbo by RTSC: 6:28pm On May 20, 2019 |
raumdeuter:Peter obi is hopefully running again. He tried his best for atiku by brushing up his image with the toga of technocracy which got him majority southern votes. Unfortunately, the double combo of atiku corruption baggage and buhari's popularity in the North was too much to overcome. I hope to see Peter obi running again on his own merit. Many people I know would have voted for pdp, if atiku wasn't on the ballot. |

I would love to see power return to the south come 2023,but the selfishness of some individuals has given northerners-like el-rufia-ground to begin thinking of contesting. if the last elections are any indication, no zone in the south can win the presidential election without the support of the other zones (unless all major parties adopt a candidate from that zone) Even if the SW wants/feels that the deserve it, the should try to dialogue with the ss/se block beginning now! Not few months to 2023 . For my brothers in the SE, i think we are witnessing a political rebirth .Lets focus less on the sw and their ambitions/statements, we should build more on the political synergy we seem to have formed with the SS, and leverage our commanding position in the pdp, to possibly front our own candidate come 2023. |

Okoyeebows: Obasanjo and GEJ is not a pastor, Osinbajo as a pastor will face conservative religious Muslim north. PDP northern candidate will have an easy win because religious sentiment will surely arise against Osinbajo in the north. |

simplycarro:You lots will cry blood by 2023 i swear down if you honestly believe tinubu or any yoruba person will be voted or rigged in with massive nirthern support.our heads are so stuck in the mud it has beclouded your reasoning and messed up your common-sense. Tinubu does not enjoy the kind of clout through hook or crook buhari enjoyed and still enjoying..,No Northerner born of a woman will rig electiins for Tinubu like they did for Buhari. No "Kardasian State" will replay itself for Tinubu or any Yoruba person for that matter, neither will Hausa-muslim-dominated Army,Police,DSS,INEC rig on behalf of Tinubu. Tinubu can only be the premier of Western region and thats it..The only hope for tinubu, yoruba is if the enture South including core middle-belt states come together to up-root the North. However since that is an impossible scenario going forward, the North will have it on a platter in 2023.... Undisputed facts!!! |

dignity33:Ngozi shouldn't be on the list, solid should cause of the impact and benefit we've benefited from him. What has OKonjo done for her community. Someone who resigned dishonorably. Chris Ngige would have been the best but the Ndigbos hatred for each other won't let him ![]() |

God has blessed Tinubu. Even when Tinubu is silent and doesn't talk, his fame continues to spread. Wow! His silence intimidates his oppponents, the more they pressure him to say something the more agitated and restless they become in his silence. Very powerful! May God bless me with this kind popularity and acceptance in society, Amen! Anybody that would desire a blessing from God for the fame and acceptance like Tinubu's, say Amen! |

When will Ndigbo come to realise that winning Presidency can only be achieved with the cooperation of the Youruba nation headed by Tinubu ![]() How many second fiddle has the region played for decades ? From Zik to Ekwueme to Dr Christopher Ugo, Okadigbo and to Obi... Buhari was a serial loser who tried 4 times until Tinubu played his political chess board. Most of Igbo youth will disagree on this Ndigbo stand as they are no longer relevant in today's political dispensation. Infact, people in SW won't lose any sleep on this threat. Who can put himself forward as Igbo leaders today ? Is it Ekpeazu (Kerosene merchant )or Okorocha (paranoid ) or Nnamdi Kanu - a fugitive in exile ? Ndigbo and IPOB who failed to stop Obasanjo for 8 years can never stop Tinubu in any election in this great Nigeria. Ndigbo should therefore learn from History !! |

DOCU:The politically strongest northerner is atiku in term of political network and financial war chest. His biggest burden was Peter Obi and then the corruption albatross on his neck. No northerner politician have that luxury nor can take a South Easterner risk Tinubu is the biggest threat to any northerner politician at the moment and that is why they want to get the mind to talk his plan so that they can start planning for him but the man is the MASTER OF THE GAME |

NkayStory:Calm down and allow your brain to do the thinking and not your heart ![]() MKO beat Tofa in the North, at the moment Tinubu has more political networks than MKO did. When the time come for the politics, you will see the northerner elites that will line up behind Tinubu starting from the biggest of them all Dangote and Isiaku Rabiu..a payback time for his assistance. When Tinubu was building and oiling his political bridges and alliances, you all were calling him slave, time for him to tap to into those alliances, you woke up and start getting mad with him, did he stop you from doing your own thing?? Do you think Tinubu was only looking at the small picture when he facilitated Dangote acquisition of the largest swathe of land to build the largest refinery in the world? May God keep us all to the time |

raumdeuter:As it stands now, and if rotation continues to be respected, SE is in line to be President in 2039. If they allow Atiku to run PDP again 2023, their turn will be extended another 16years out. APC is on course to zone South. But if PDP, instead of zoning South hands its flag to North, Ibo will be the victim, not Yoruba, not Hausa. Atiku loves to run a cerebral campaign he did in 2011, in 2015 and in 2019. He will go into a lenghty presentation about urban regeneration and market capitalism. He will try it again in 2023....assuming he is PDP candidate. His cerebral approach will not stand credibility against a Yoruba candidate in APC. We are the owners of urbanism and capitalism in Nigeria and we have intrigues in those areas that will negate his points and ridicule his credibility. Moreover, Afenifere will not support PDP against its own son in APC. SW for PDP will look like 2015, if not worse. The North will be the swing region in 2023. This is all under assumption that Atiku is PDP candidate! They will want power to remain in North and they would prefer Atiku because they know corruption and the looting of Nigerian treasury will resume under him. They contribute nothing to it, so they really wouldnt care that the revenue generated by resources in South is handed out freely where they are the biggest benefactor. The North is fearful of a restructure or a secession. They remain suspicious of Ibo in this regard. The just concluded election attests to that. At the presidential, Atiku lost overwhelmingly in NW and NE but at gubernatorial they realigned and voted locally and pushed APC out. It's because of Peter Obi they rejected Atiku. So in 2023 the acceptance of Atiku by North will be conditional on who his running mate is. He will be rejected again if he picks Ibo. He cannot pick SS because they were VP in 2011 under YarAdua. He must pick Yoruba for VP if he hopes to win. Therefore, Yoruba will end up President or VP of this country in 2023. If we end up as VP again, Ibo's chance at Presidency extends beyond 2039, add 16yrs....2055! Assuming the alternative that Presidency in PDP comes South, it will be either SW or SE. APC will win 2023 again. PDP wants power, so they might forego SE and give its flag to SW. We are back to 1999, candidates of both parties are Yoruba and so SW wins! Remember, candidates of both parties in 2019 were Fulani. Ibo will get rotation in 2039, or in 2055, the choice of fate is in their hands. Either choice does not bother or affect our chance at the executive. |

simplycarro:You're very wrong! El-Rufai is not in good health and not generally accepted as you had thought. The political permutations of SE producing VP will infact favour Tinubu as Tinubu will choose VP from North Central as duo of Senate President Lawan will have an edge on El-Rufai. Youruba won't vote El-Rufai /Igbo as long as Tinubu or Osinbajo is running. Tinubu footsoldiers in the North are already working. The collapse of Kano Emirates is more of a blessing in retrospect. It's the SS and SE that will be a great loser in the end. |

dignity33:Soludo contested the governorship of his state, he didn’t win. Was it Tribalism that prevented him from winning in an election voted for by members of his own ethnic group. As far as I know, Ngozi Iweala; whole eminently qualified has not signified her intention to contest for any position. That is a minimum requirement. A desire to do the job. |

dukie25:You statement just exposed how foolish you are. Are you God that you are making categorical statement on another man's future? You cannot even guaranty your own future, talk less of another man's future. If God says he (Tinubu) will be president of Nigeria, millions of the likes of you cannot stop him. In terms of qualifications, no man from the South West is more qualified than Tinubu, so if he wants to run for presidency, he is qualified and entitled to do so. Having said that, in spirit of fairness, I will support a credible candidate from the South East. The problem is there are no credible Igbo candidates with national appeal. The only one I know of is Peter Obi, but he has compromised himself by aligning with a known thief (ATIKU). I am sure he has lost his appeal to elites of SW that dictate the political tune in the region. For the umpteenth time, I am repeating the statement that "there can never be Igbo presidency without the support of SW". So Obi is Dead-on-arrival (DoA) in 2023. Prove me wrong by telling us of any other Igbo politician with national appeal that can beat a Northerner like Atiku without the support of SW. You can quote me "Atiku that you Igbos voted en-mass for in 2019 will run again in 2023" Another interesting thing is that you Igbos will NEVER present a common front. By 2021/2022, in-fighting between you will tadpole any chance of Igbo presidency. |

simplycarro:You should actually allow your brains to work as regards political happenings in this 21st century and not the 20th century you are hell-bent on sticking with.... If you can wake up from slumber,,you will realise that one thing the North regretted is "allowing" power to come to the South in 1999,which was as a result of their refusal to allow a "yoruba muslim" calked MKO Abiola rule.. They have said so over and over again, why you yorubas cannot get it is a big mystery to every sane folks.. Obj was there for two years, while GEJ was there for 5years...According to the Northern elits who know nithing else but grabbing power for the heck of it since they pretty much suck at other positive ways of "making it,they lost a lot financially under "Southern rule" As for Tinubu and his laughable 2023 Presidential elections,i and other Igbos who do not want him to be President will continue speaking and campaigning against him, like him and his gangsters did to Igbos in Lagos...It is our right! His aspirations is to rule over a Nigeria which includes Igbos, while we also have the right to say NO to that however much that pains you lots.. Deal with it. |
