Please I need size of charge controller/solar system Formulas

I have 30amp charge controller(PWM)..(have plan to buy a 60amp in future)

2 batteries, 165ah each(connected in series)

A 24v Mpower MSW Inverter

Want to get 2 Mono 160watts solar panel

Bcuz them don shut down our power transformer, only God knows when they will fix it for they said they need N500k...

My questions are:
1. Will two mono 160w of solar panel power my 2 165 battery connected in series daily?

Please advice...

will supply you new 200 watts mono panel at cheap price. 12v and 24v available

To your question, you will need up to 1000 watts panel to charge you batteries with 5-6 hours sun.

Bro, its a simple formular u need to apply. since u are operating on 24v. it means the 2batteries remains 165ah. to charge anything, u need to multiply the battery ah by 2.5. if u buy 200w panel it's majorly 24v and thus at least 2 of 200w panel connected in parallel should charge ur 165ah battery

Thanks, I already got two 150w, make I deh manage am till will get another two 150w..

I understand that 300w panel is poor, even the 600w panel will not fully charge it for 5 sun hour, but make e deh charge above %50 is my priority.. When I deh use NEPA charge, %100 charge would last for 3 days.. So there is no need for %100 charge as fas say sun go shine next day.. I am not a heavy user though.

What's your best price for MONO 150W & 200W?

These are what to look up to.

1. Check the inlet fuse. Sometimes it comes as 1-100ohms resistor.

2. Check the thyristor. It might possibly drop or break the inlet current.

3. Check those transistors. Normally mosfet transistors just check the number on it then buy and replace.

If you are staying in onitsha and environmental, pm me.

That number (2) is "NTC thermistor" not thyristor, NTC thermistor is a negative thermistor. How it works, it allows current to pass through it with increase in temperature, this made it a temperature sensor. But thyristor is like a switch with 3 terminals, it turns on when applied gate voltage. Though, gate voltage do not have control over the thyristor again once it's on.

My suoer 30a charger no longer working

Please, what could be the problems? It became so hot lastnight before it gave up the ghost

A radionic/repairer said it is the IC(if I am correct)

What could be the problem and solutions?

that your charger is based on "switched-mode power supply"(smps) technology. they use ferrite core instead of transformers. at times they are called transformerless. sadly, the major advantage of this technology is there light-weight, but they are not as superb as their predecessor, "the conventional transformer". the applications of "SMPS" technology in recent decades are in DVD power park, laptop chargers, some inverters etc. if he can repair your charger, he is a wizard and can also repair DVD power park or energy saving bulbs. give him a try.

What that means is that, trying to troubleshoot "SMPS" will be like trying to squeeze water from a Stone. Not that possible in Africa.

The circuit from Jumia will definitely outlast your SMPS

THAT'S NOT TRUE.

I can repair switch mode power supply verywell.
I have big experience with them, over the years.

I have repaired laptop chargers, dvd power supplies, mobile chargers.
I have even designed smps 12v to 220v dc which I use to charge laptop, phones. powers bulb and soldering iron.

so I can repair it or I buy it from you @econome.

that one you got from jumia will still need an external supply. maybe from rectified transformer.

The extremely powerful, compact AGM batteries of the Sprinter XP series are an ideal energy source for uninterrupted power supply and are particularly good in UPS applications and other security systems. GNB’s experience and innovation with VRLA technology makes Sprinter batteries the preferred choice for high rate emergency battery backup.

These 12V 92.8ah Portuguese-made batteries are unlike the normal VRLA batteries manufactured in China with very short life span which are all over the market. They have very little discharge rate and can compete favorably with some 200ah battery models when it comes to durability!

They can be used as uninterrupted power supply or charged using solar panels!
> Excellent high current performance – optimized for
short discharge time
> Low self discharge rate – extended storage capability
> Very short recharge time – high availability
> Optimal power density – saves floor space
> Completely recyclable – low CO2 footprint
Specifications:
> Maintenance-free (no topping up) during the whole
service life
> High-Compression Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology
> Power (15 minutes) from 600 – 2350 watt
> Design life: »10-12 Years – High Performance« according to
EUROBAT classification

Hi Valto, pls how do i reach u? Instead of buying another souer smart charger, i have decided to use solar to charge my battery

Hello Tech Gurus in the house...

Finally, I have decided to join the team of converted ups users.

I have gotten the following for my system:

1. 100AH Battery X 2
2. 1.2kVA Blue gate UPS (12V)
3. 130w solar panels X 3
4. 30A PWM solar charger

I hope to set this up by weekend. Somehow I am very skeptical of using the external chargers with my system so i will be relying on only solar and the little charging the ups can do.

However, I go like know if the BG 1.2kVA/24V ups is a modified or pure sine wave.

I hear say modified no dey good for ceiling fans, and it will be difficult separating the fan from lighting circuits in my apartment.

I hope to put up the pix when I'm done with the installation.

Hi bro,

Have you been able to setup your system? How did you circumvent the emboldened?

We would love to see pictures of your setup too
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by odimbannamdi(m): 3:23am On May 21, 2019
Valto:
u tried, but i think u still need an efficient charger, cos your panel and your type of controller might not be enough to charge your batteries properly each day. 12V bluegate 1. 2kva is okay but not really a typical pure sine wave. dont use an AC fan on it. get a 12V rechargeable fan. there is 12V DC ceiling fan in the market too

For his battery capacity (2 units of 100ah), what capacity of solar panels and chargw controllers should he have used?

Mine is a 100ah and i am considering something along that line. My major fear is mistakenly buying a modified sinewave UPS again, even though i now use a DC rechargeable fan. Does MSW UPs have adverse effects on TVs and sound systems?

Pls advise

True that, u Na chairman for him side na grin grin grin. But the chargers I bought from him then didn't last at all. The black 12/24v digital charger, the one that lasted only stayed 3months. But I'll give him another try with this one.

Hopefully it should be better

Boss, the one digital type you bought from the seller at idi-oro, is it the same as the one Ceejay uses?

he doesn't have 40amp, he said it didn't move ,so he sold all to those in the north at a cheaper rate, all these charge has demands, 10, 20 and 30amp na hot cake, the Analog 40amp too move,
to me OK, I prefer this digital to the analog, using for over 0ne month now.... , it doesn't get too hot like the analog while charging

Baba Ceejay, how is the performance of the charger now? Are you still flexing it?

u should have used the 1.5kva, I mentioned it on one of the pages that the small ups is for smaller loads and rechargeable fans are best for these ups 1.2 /1.5kva ups, not the 650va

nope

How do you manage to know whether a charger is pure sine wave or not, even without seeing it physically?
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by odimbannamdi(m): 3:55am On May 21, 2019
I just remembered that i have 2 units of this bluegate UPS. This particular one was opened last year to change the battery.

Does this qualify as a the 1500VA variant?
Is it 24v or 12v? I am guessing i would have to use two batteries with it if it is 24v, right?
Is it pure or modified sinewave?
Does it come with an inbuilt fan?
