Pros: Cheap foods, accommodation and many more
.. You can easily acquire a land in suleja and build without risk of demolition unlike Abuja. I don't know of any cons except maybe irregular power supply which is a general Nigerian problem
P.S I grew up in Suleja.

My point exactly. Kubwa is also Abuja. The guy was disputing that Suleja to Abuja is N300 and not 200 as I said. But Abuja is not just one place.

@ rottmy. Let us run this case scenario. You are single and you work with the government.
I
In suleja self contain is 80,000/ annum .
Transport to berger/ town- 250
To and fro- #500.
22 working days-#11,000
I year- #132,000 ( transport)
Total- #212,000

Another case
Say gisiri.(nicon junction
Self contain #130,000
T.p to work -150
To and fro - #300
22 working days- #6,600
I year- #79,200
Total- #209,200

You will pay more by living @ suleja the transport costs creep gradually, hence you mite not notice.
(did they tell you its over 40km from berger.) .

Some of these villages in Abuja are really terrible, I will never advice anyone to live in them.

Any accommodation below N300k in the actual city center is actually a death trap and will moat likely going to be in a huge ghetto.

Please, for those that are familiar with Suleja, what are your positive and negative side of staying in Suleja? Kindly drop a point for someone that may wants to move in to the city. Thanks
The positive side: very affordable cost of living (the affordability I am talking about is in every area). The only negative side I can point out now is the rough and dirty environment.

It's very proximate to Abuja. There are civil servants who work in Abuja but are residents of Suleja. And the road is good. Suleja is not a big city, so public transportation within Suleja town is usually with motorcycles. Accommodation too is also cheap. Suleja, despite it's proximity to FCT is under Niger state, so cost of living is equal to the cost of living in other towns in Niger state. If you are to board a vehicle from Suleja centre to city centres such as Wuse, Area 1, etc in Abuja, it won't cost you more than N250 - N300. But, if you are going beyond Abuja, e.g. from Suleja to as far as Nyanyan or Mararaba in Nasarawa state, the highest you will pay is N500. I boarded a car from Suleja to Mararaba about two weeks ago for N500, and I remember my co-passengers who were more frequent travellers on that road said it used to be less than N500.

Garki is part of Abuja inner city. So it's just like someone going from Suleja to the centre of Abuja. It doesn't matter whether you are going to Wuse, or Asokoro, or Garki, all those areas are part of Abuja city center. And so, one can still describe the distance from Suleja to Garki in a generic way by saying the distance from Suleja to Abuja, since Garki is part of the center of Abuja. The distance is not so far, neither is it too close. You can get to Garki from Suleja in one hour if there is no traffic jam. The road is also good. You can't get a bus or taxi that will go from Suleja straight to Garki part of Abuja, except it's a drop. So you can board a taxi going to either Berger, or Wuse, or Area 1 (All these places are in Abuja). The cost should not exceed N300 - N350. Then from any of these locations, you can get Garki for N100. But it might cost up to N200 if you have to board another vehicle or tricycle within Garki to your final destination.
