A crime suspect who got rearrested by the police, has disclosed that he went back to kidnapping to raise his lawyer's balance. Apollolos a.k.a Blackie was arrested alongside Daniel Johngbo, Harridon Barryira and Lebara Tobia by the Rivers state police for kidnapping a 67-year-old businesswoman identified only as Obianuju. The kidnap victim was reportedly on her way home from a church in a Toyota Sienna on February 7, 2019, when the gun-wielding kidnappers ambushed her some metres away from her Rumuobiakani residence.

The woman who petitioned the acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, who directed the Intelligence Response Team of the Force to find the perpetrators of the crime after she was released, was held hostage in a forest for six days by the suspects who collected millions of naira in ransom.  Apollolos who was tracked down to his hideout in Kono-Bowe community in the Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State,  confessed to the crime and gave out the information that led to the arrest of the three other members of the gang. The kidnap suspect who disclosed that he went back to kidnapping to raise his lawyer's balance after he was released from prison, revealed that he got N350,000 from the ransom paid for the kidnap of the lady which was coordinated by one Gbenena, who is still at large.

His lawyer should also be arrested. Definitely, the lawyer knew who he was defending in court to be criminal.
