Well what is the Abuja option doing there in the first place? After all we have an application portal for Abuja residents or those from Northern states separately. This is for South! (Lagos).
What if the condition of ticking the scholarship is not meant for the submission of the form but rather for the “Abuja”. I mean for you to have the option of having your interview in Abuja and you not from the northern state then you must have a scholarship even though your state of origin is not from the “North” . Just to give those who have scholarship preference rather than waste time in Lagos due to too much applicant. In the past on this thread, that’s what I know Abuja embassy for.
My thought is that this is a new development, and I don’t think people can’t make mistakes.
Hello Mr, have you booked? If yes, which category did you book?
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by Valentinejeco: 8:24pm On May 25, 2019
have anyone heard of aramex?,a courier service...I heard there charges are cheap compared to ups,dhl and feedex
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by SouthHomieMob: 8:25pm On May 25, 2019
Let us be logical here. The VO asks you where is your scholarship for the option u ticked. No doc VO replied but you ticked you have a scholarship in your apppointment booking.and no document automatically means wrong category.

LMAO.. I’ll tell you!!
I booked B on the 6th exactly 10:12pm no date. But yesterday, looked at it all over again with reference to others who called, cancelled and book A. I’ll stand by my A and I’m hoping I’m at the first set cause of people that might have changed too! So help me God.

I have been trying to digest this English!

And I think the right Category is A! Specially for the applicant going for masters
Which is specified in Item number (4) which states:

“the one bachelor successful with the grade 1 class - 2 Lower Class completed and the promise of a master (also a DSH course-criteria conditional admission to the Master Program entitlement to registration in the A-list) or doctoral studies in Germany”

Bro, whatever bouncing will go down at the checkpoint.Whether A or B, any wrong application naah Oga Paulinus & hin men go takeover. "Have a nice day", that is the phrase they use, that is exactly what I heard them say to a Lady who applied for National visa instead of Schengen visa. So nothing like VO asking questions.

my bad tho was skeptical tbh but my gut just felt like putting vo. I think what they can do is just ask for those that have scholarship the interview day and havenots. Then sort again

Well I'm going to call the Consulate on Monday and i urge others to do the same. Please those in Lagos should endeavour to visit the Consulate on Monday for clarification.

I remember it got to a point last year when we started seeing no more available dates on their website.

From what I've read, people that booked B on 7th are yet to get dates, so when will people that will book on the 30th get dates because we are many (thanks to US embassy).

Please let's all work together on this. If you have info, don't hoard it, share it. Thank you.

you sure u booked 10.20

because a guy that booked 11pm has gotten date .

From my observation...I think the appointment date is less dependent of how fast you book but a major function of the enrolment date you insert
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 6 by lovable85(f): 10:08pm On May 25, 2019
I don’t think so ooooo, I know persons with August 30th deadlines and September 1st with no dates, I believe it is based on first come first serve, someone with October 1st enrollment was given July 17th, someone with September deadline was given August 2nd

holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class - 2. Lower Class and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany or

I want to critically look into this whole A or B bruhaha. Lets breakdown the long sentence.

The Conditions are

You can apply for A if

1. You must Hold a bachelor's degree with

Grade of 1st Class

2. Lower Class

2. You must be admitted into

a. Master's Degree

b. Peolple that have admission for Master which uses a DSH can also apply

c. PhD Degree

The only confusing point from all the whole discussion is "The Fact that you must Choose the Scholarship Option to continue registering with CAT A"

Note
Those that have good grade in their German Laguage can apply for Bachelor's degree using A

I will tell you guys whats wrong with that "Scholarship"
clause wey dey cause confusion for people to register with A

he got 2nd of August.

On Friday.. you mean yesterday?? I was still on CAT B till yesterday evening around 9-10pm.
So when?
For category B, they’ll surely give dates, especially when people in CAT A are extremely few or zero but at what rate are they giving CAT B and what happens when more people start moving and getting themselves available on CAT A? They’ll pay more attention to them.
Abeg, this thing don tire me. Thank God I can still cancel after I’ve received my date. I’ll stay where the date is sure rather than where is scanty and random. They are already giving August, Jesus Christ.

All applicants who fulfill one of the following criteria can register with the “A - list”:

holding a TestAS certificate with a standard score of 100 - 130
holding a very good B-1 language certificate from the Goethe Institute (90 points and more) or
holding a good B-2 language certificate from the Goethe Institute (80 points or more) or
holding a bachelor's degree with a grade of 1. Class - 2. Lower Class and being accepted for a master's degree (also a DSH course-related admission to the master's program) or PhD study in Germany or
holding a scholarship from a German institution for a study or a PhD in Germany or
holding a signed “Aufnahmevereinbarung” / hosting agreement concerning your research fellowship with a university or research institute accepted by the “BAMF”

Important! One of those criteria you need to proof at your appointment in the Consulate. If you have applied for a priority appointment on the A-list without being able to proof any of these criterias, the application will be rejected immediately and without any further examination.

Please House from the above, is Scholarship a requirement?

This A fit be the anwers oooh.
Just tick the scholarship and proceed, If the VO ask you about scholarship, just show them that Scholarship is not one of the critarias

Just ma view oooh

I don’t think enrollment has anything to do with it. I chose August 7th.
