Hello all.

please can a student travel along with his wife or will the wife join him after he has traveled?

Also, what is the amount required in the block account for the husband and wife?

Also, can the wife work while staying over with the husband?

U can always apply to take ur wife along with you.. Is allowed. But u have to fulfill lots of requirements. 1. U will block for 2 adults, 2, u'll secure insurance for u both, 3. U will book an apartment for 2. And show the vo evidence of such. Also, u'll book an interview for her and she has to defend why u want to go with her and u as well.
... As for work. Yes if u eventually get, she will work freely while u school.....

In a nutshell, just know that u'll spend all u need to spend for your self x2 of not more.... But I can assure u, its worth it... It will be a win win for u....

My people! Hope we dey good. As at when i started sending out applications, i was based in Ibadan so my admission letter carries an Ibadan address. But last month I got a job in Abuja so i'm based in Abuja at the moment.

If i tick "i live in Abuja" while booking visa appointment, am i gonna be asked to provide proof on interview day, that i truly live in Abuja?
Anybody been in a similar situation?

Thanks in anticipation!

If your admission letter is not bearing Abuja address, kindly forget about the idea of using Abuja. Moreover even if it happens to, they might demand to see your utility bills and rental contract with your landlord. This was the case last year, might still be same this year or may not. So just bear it in your mind nevertheless.

In as much as your point is very logical. That wasn't the only the only criterion that qualifies an individual for category A. There are at least 5 other conditions that qualifies a candidate to be in category A. Also, the instruction said if you fullfil one of these criteria then you can apply under category A, otherwise book under category B.
What if fullfil 2 or 3 out of the 6 criteria but I don't have a scholarship does that make me a category B candidate?.

So in my defense I have a Master's admission and a 2:1 bachelor's degree. We can go on and on about this thing but that's what I personally think and I'm sticking to category A. The delay in assigning dates to people that booked under category B proves my point the more.

chimax1:
Guys about this interview booking issue, in as much as we all have our different views, I want us to take note of the following
Applicants with scholarships are treated first and faster than any other category. There is always a distinction between them and others.

Majority of applicants going for masters have a 2.1 or 2.2, it's not logical to place them on the same category as those with scholarships.

Does it mean that only 3rd class and bsc will book with category B? Don't you think they would have been more specific if that's what they wanted?

I booked category B and am not canceling. What do I have to loose even if I should have booked A. Better safe than sorry!!

Hello sir,

As always, your contribution is much appreciated. But i am wondering, are u presently in Germany and do you speak out of experience?

I personally wont advise one to go along with his spouse immediately. The journey is an uncertain one ans it only makes sense for the superior spouse (that has got more endurance and better qualification) to go first and act like a fore-runner while the partner joins him/her much later.

It personally will break my heart and hustling spirit seeing that my wife is not comfortable while we are both there.

My thoughts tho

And let me quickly add, there's no reason to be scared, the instruction was clearly stated on their website, you can print a copy of the page and take it along if you need to prove your point that day.

Shalom!

But favour remembered me just 7 days before my interview ,my confirmation from fintiba came the night before my interview.

Good day. You will need your 100 level transcript, WAEC or neco result, proof of English proficiency (depends on school) some require you to write IELTS and the likes, university certificate. Check the school you want to enroll to, requirements varies. Good luck

I'm very happy for you that at your stage with waec you already have a mind-set of going for software development . The possibilities and opportunities are endless for a software developer that starts early. Go through daad.de and search with "software " you will see a lot of Bsc courses of your choice from various universities.

Basalt come and see the problem you just caused.
Someone booked under category B on 7th May, then after this category argument and calls, he canceled his appointment in category B and booked a fresh one under category A.
Then on getting to this place and seeing Basalt posts, he cancelled the category A booking and went back and booked under category B now he sent me private message asking me that he is contemplating booking canceling again and booking category A cheesy.
Abeg make una die this matter na. Some people dey in hot soup already

I agree with ur idea. But again, what it simply means is that u don't have the capacity to take her along... Taking one's spouse along at the same time, is solely a financial affair. Like u have the money to spend to get u both the minimum comfort u require, while u hustle.

My answer remains that, if u can, feel very free to take her along. U won't regret it.
