2. Submit the necessary documents for your account verification. Such as Government Issued Identity Card – Permanent Voter’s card, National Identity card, International Passport, or any other means of identification that clearly shows your name and address.
3. You will need to verify your home address by submitting a copy of a bank statement or Electricity/Utility bill, that shows your Real Name and home address as well.
4. When registering for an account with amazon kdp, make sure the name you use tallies with the name on your identity card.
5. You can either use your real name to publish your books or you can use a pen name. (nickname). I used E.D. Jonas to publish my books and I also use Sandra Mayor in other books (while my real name is: Eigbedion Destiny Jonah). So, it depends on the market and what you intend to achieve. If you are really serious about this business, I would advise that you use your real name or you’ll better abbreviate your name to suit your brand in case you want to build a brand around your Name. I think Jonas sounds good like an American name. or at least, it sounds stylish compared to Eigbedion Jonah, Adebayo, Chinedu, or Abdulahi - which all sound so local. If I were named any of those names above, I would change it to something like: Ade (popular musician in the UK) - plus your English name, Chi (sounds like a Chinese name) - plus your English name, and Ali (Mohammed Ali was a popular boxer in the US) - plus English name. Because, the abbreviated names above all sound familiar in the US.

The reason for this is simple; Our target audience is the US and UK markets. So, it naturally makes sense to bear names similar to the people we intend to serve. But if you already have a large audience or you are an influential figure, you can use your full name. Please, don’t get me wrong, I am not saying you wouldn’t make it online if you use your real name, but people need to build trust and know little about you before buying from you. Take, for instance, you’re teaching people: How To Cook Paleo Diets, How To Cook Vegan Food, How To Smoke Meat In Electric Smoker, How To Dance, How To Sing, How To Plant Flower, How To Set Up Online Business, How To Improve Memory And Brain Functions. - People will likely open your book if they believe that, you live within their environment and that what you teach is applicable in their regions.

So, the choice of the name to use is completely up to you. How I Became a Successful Publisher On Amazon

Just as our faces are different, so are our expectations. My kindle success goal was to publish books to earn me at least $500 (Five hundred Dollars) within my first 3 months in the publishing business. And I achieved that goal a few months beyond my projected period. It’s normal for every business, though I didn’t achieve my goal within 3 months, yet, I made enough money to keep my hope alive that this business will work out. But today, I make over $1,500 (about #580,000 Naira) from my publishing business.

As a Nigerian, 30% will be withheld from your royalty as tax for sales in the USA and some other marketplaces. This is because Nigeria does not have a tax treaty with America. The tax for UK and other European marketplace sales is very low or nonexistent in most cases.

For fiction and nonfiction books, 1,500 is the minimum word count. For children and colour books, it can be lesser than that. Make sure you have at least 8,000 word count before you can actually call it an article or ebook. Though your writing style and the quality of your content in the book matters most. I think one doesnt need to check your profile to detect your mistake. From what OP has explained so far, your user name is one of the problems because your sounds strange to your prospect buyers. They are from UK and US and not from Nigeria and you are not Influential as well.

My final advice, spend money to have professional book cover for just $5-10.
Research the market properly to find out what is selling or write on ever green topics such as health and recipe books.
You can use a pen name or stick to your name if you're writing for the African Americans. How many people want ttoread about traditional marriage or photos when they can easily have such info on Google, YouTube, Facebook and other social media platforms.

Finally get a guide that will show you how it's been done from other Nigerians succeeding in this business already.

Just go through the process and type your name in the area they require your signature. It is really just a formality because you are a Nigerian and there are no tax details to supply. As a Nigerian, 30% will be withheld from your royalty as tax for sales in the USA and some other marketplaces. This is because Nigeria does not have a tax treaty with America. The tax for UK and other European marketplace sales is very low or nonexistence in most cases.
