Tragedy struck today at Nepa Junction in Satellite Town area of Lagos as a woman learning how to drive fled after killing an Okada passenger (commercial motorcyclist).

It was gathered before the driver of the Nissan SUV who had a 'Learner' tag attached to her car killed the Okada passenger, she knocked down two other road users in the area. While the Okada rider survived the incident though with bruises, his passenger who had his wares scattered at the scene of the incident died instantly. According to eyewitnesses, the woman who was learning how to drive alone fled almost immediately she realized she killed the Okada passenger.

On another note, I think the woman is at fault. The FRSC law requires that a leaner should always be accompanied by a professional and there are some roads prohibited for the learner to ply. So if she is found culpable, then she should face the wrath of the law.

Quite unfortunate, she probably ran cos of the fear of what angry mobs may do to her( they fit burn her alive instantly)...She's a learner as stated and may not be charged for the death of the biker. That's why I run from learners when I see them on the road cos nothing is their fault

And none of the onlookers could write down her license plate number or even stab her tyres to deflate it.
